Sendai Oktoberfest is a vibrant and exciting event that beer, music, and festival lovers will adore. Numerous food and drink stalls offer a wide variety of German and Japanese craft beers. Food stalls blend German and Japanese flavors, featuring sausages and pretzels from German stalls, as well as local specialties like beef tongue from Japanese stalls. Every year, Sendai Oktoberfest invites numerous Japanese and German bands to perform, playing popular German drinking songs multiple times throughout the day. These performances typically take place in the Blue Tents, the liveliest area of ​​the entire festival grounds. The Green Tents, on the other hand, are quieter and more suitable for families, pet-friendly visitors, or anyone looking to enjoy a beer while engaging in relaxed conversation.

The Sendai China Festival Organizing Committee will hold the "2026 Sendai China Festival" on September 26th (Saturday) and 27th (Sunday), 2026, at the central plaza in front of the Sendai Ryōsaikan in Aobayama Park, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. The event is expected to attract approximately 20,000 attendees, offering a diverse range of experiences including Chinese cuisine, Hanfu (traditional Han clothing), paper cutting and calligraphy, Chinese tourism, and stage performances by Chinese and Japanese artists, allowing participants to experience the charm of Chinese culture while in Japan.

Since its inception in 1997, the Hokuriku Dance Festival has been a regular feature of Sendai City's schedule for over two decades! During the festival, more than 100 dance troupes and over 5,000 dancers from all over Japan and the Tohoku region gather in Sendai once again to showcase their passion and energy through spectacular performances.
