Theater
Join Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda on March 9th for a special rendition of William Shakespeare's lesser-known plays. In collaboration with Colin Martin's Empathy Lab exhibition, the painting titled Fool, and to commemorate 'the Ides of March', the gallery has invited Pearshakes, an improvisational theatrical group, to perform their unique interpretations of Shakespeare's works. Pearshakes is a talented group of actors and improvisers who bring the lost plays of Shakespeare to life. Using language, structure, rhythm, and tropes inspired by Shakespeare, they create short plays based on suggestions from the audience. Prepare to be entertained by tales of comedy and tragedy, where fools, murderers, ghosts, battles, heroes, villains, and tormented lovers take the stage. These improvised performances showcase the fusion of culture, art, and improvisation. Book your €5 tickets soon to secure your place, as availability is limited. Pearshakes, formed in 2015, has become known for their ability to improvise Shakespeare with great teamwork and effort. Don't miss this opportunity to experience their innovative approach to the works of Shakespeare. The event will take place at Highlanes Gallery, located at 36 Saint Laurence Street in Drogheda.
