Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon | Oklahoma City
Apr 24–Apr 26, 2026 (UTC-6)
Oklahoma City
Named one of the 12 "must run" marathons in the world by Runner's World magazine, the 26.2-mile course is filled with cheering supporters and Oklahoma City's most beautiful neighborhoods. Along the way, runners pass 168 banners, each bearing the name of a bombing victim.
The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is not about running, but about life, a commemoration of the lives lost in tragedy, a celebration of the gift of life that is equally available to everyone, and a vision of life to come. This is the spirit of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, conceived during a morning run by two Oklahoma businessmen who developed the outline for this inspiring event. A group of volunteer chairs lead the team of volunteers to run the entire weekend's activities. From less than 5,000 participants in the first race in 2001, it now has more than 23,000 runners and walkers from every state and multiple countries. The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is about celebrating life, looking to the future, remembering the victims, and filling the world with hope. This is more than just a marathon. It's a run to remember...and a race that shows that each of us can make a difference and change the world.

Love's Labour's Lost | Friday, August 8, 2025 at 8:00pm | Oklahoma Shakespeare
Aug 8, 2025 (UTC-5)
Oklahoma City
Plot Summary - provided by
PlayShakespeare.com
The King of Navarre, and his three friends, Berowne, Longaville and Dumaine, all swear themselves to three years of study, abstaining from all distractions, particularly of the female kind, with only Armado, and Costard to entertain them. They are confounded, on signing the vow, when Berowne remembers that the Princess of France and her three ladies, Rosaline, Maria, and Katharine, attended by Boyet, are on an embassy to Navarre’s court.
Armado, has decided to arrest Costard for being in the company of a woman—the woman being Jaquenetta, who Armado himself is in love with. The ladies arrive, and the King and his lords fall in love with them. Armado frees Costard on condition he delivers a note to Jaquenetta; Berowne charges Costard with a letter to Rosaline; and the two letters get mixed up.
The four lords enter one by one and despair about their love for their particular woman, and one by one are overheard by the others. They decide to tear the oath up, and woo the ladies. They disguise themselves as Russians, but Boyet tells the ladies beforehand, and the ladies change identities with each other. The lords enter, and woo the wrong women. They leave, and on their return are mocked by the ladies.
Armado then approaches the schoolmaster Holofernes and curate Nathaniel to join with him, Costard, and the page, Mote, to present the Nine Worthies as entertainment to the nobles. This provides them with many opportunities for comment and laughter. The mood changes when Marcade brings news that the Princess’s father has died. As the ladies prepare to leave, the lords affirm that all their expressions of love were genuine, but the Princess claims that everything was in jest. The ladies tell the lords that, if they are serious, they must carry out certain tasks for a year, and then return to offer marriage. The lords agree. Armado then presents the learned men in a dialogue between the owl and the cuckoo, representing winter and spring, by way of conclusion.

Scaling Digital Value:
Unique Challenges & Opportunities in Production Operations
Travis Stephenson
Devon Energy
Abstract:
Digital technology has revolutionized many aspects of modern oil and gas operations enhancing safety, compliance, efficiency, and profitability from drilling to refining. However, the realization of these benefits in large-scale production operations has been slower and less widespread. Many E&P companies have seen limited success with digital initiatives in this critical aspect of their business. In addition, multiple digital solution providers who specialize in the oil and gas industry have struggled to meet the specific needs of production operations teams.
This discussion identifies key differences between production operations (namely those featuring high numbers of geographically dispersed wells) and other sectors within the oil and gas industry: the scale and heterogeneity of assets operated, the asymmetry in data volume and data value, as well as the complexity of large organizations with broad scopes of responsibility. It offers insights and guidance for digital solution providers and E&P companies to facilitate the successful digital transformation that this sector urgently needs.
Biography:
Travis Stephenson is a Senior Advising Production Engineer at Devon Energy, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA. Travis graduated from Rice University and began his career with BP in 2005, gaining diverse experience in drilling engineering and onshore, offshore, and international production engineering roles. Since joining Devon Energy in 2013, he has held key positions in Production Engineering, Planning, and Leadership.
Since 2017, Travis has been integral to Devon’s Operational Excellence and Production Technology Teams, leading the development and implementation of various digital applications (both in-house and commercial) that have enhanced operational efficiency and innovation. He has shared his expertise through industry presentations and panels, including the 2019 Data Driven Oil and Gas Conference, Oklahoma City chapter of the American Petroleum Institute, 2023 Oklahoma City Oil and Gas Symposium and the 2024 SPE Forum on Artificial Intelligence in Upstream E&P 2030.
