Learn the art of embellishment with embroidery at the Embroidery: Blooming Botanicals workshop. During the workshop, attendees will create a basic stitch embroidery sampler as well as a floral sampler, while learning various techniques such as the back stitch, stem stitch, running stitch, satin stitch, French knot, lazy daisy stitch, and more. No prior embroidery experience is required, making this event suitable for beginners and experienced embroiderers alike.
The workshop will provide all necessary materials, including embroidery floss, embroidery hoops, embroidery needles, and water erasable pens. The event will take place at The Inventor Center in Kingsport on November 12, 2023. The ticket price for this event is $44. Participants must be 16 years of age or older, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Shannon Kelly's expertise in medieval bookbinding and her focus on traditional methods add a unique touch to her embroidery artistry.
