Yanqing 39th Ice and Snow Festival | Beijing
Celebration
Yanqing District has fully launched the 39th Ice and Snow Joy Season. The theme of the joy season is "Under the Great Wall, by the Gui River, Ice and Snow Yanqing is high", which will last from November 8, 2024 to February 28, 2025. More than 100 cultural and tourism activities will lead tourists to set off an ice and snow craze.
More than 100 activities cover six major sections: playing in the ice and snow park, enjoying ice and snow sports, enjoying the beautiful scenery of lanterns, watching ice and snow events, enjoying private hot springs and beautiful accommodation, and enjoying the New Year's Eve in the intangible cultural heritage.
In terms of ice and snow sports, Yanqing Olympic Park has newly built a single-board terrain snow track, and will open the "Ruixue Avenue", a downhill training track originally used for the Beijing Winter Olympics, to the public for the first time, providing ice and snow sports enthusiasts with an excellent experience opportunity. Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort will have 10 sunny snow tracks and considerate services, allowing ski enthusiasts to enjoy ice and snow sports while also feeling the "heart-warming" care. Yudu Mountain, Yunpugou, World Expo, Wild Duck Lake, Longqing Gorge and other ice and snow parks have introduced new ways of playing to ignite the passion for ice and snow. Among them, the Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern and Snow Carnival will be themed "Time and Space Shine, One Glance for a Thousand Years", integrating tradition and trend, creating scenes such as "Pop Mart Ice Fantasy City", and launching mountain projection shows. Beijing World Expo International Tourism Resort will launch the World Expo Light and Shadow Feast, the China Pavilion will stage a 360-degree panoramic immersive light and shadow performance, the World Expo Lantern Art Festival will show dazzling lanterns, and the copper pot long table banquet will invite you to share the authentic hometown taste. During the Ice and Snow Joy Season, Yanqing District will also host a number of high-level events, including the 2024-2025 Snow Federation Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup (Yanqing Station), the National Skeleton Championships, and the Capital University College Alpine Skiing Competition. Homestay New Year's Eve, Flower Show Performance, Dream Back to the Great Wall, Golden Snake New Year Celebration and other activities will also be staged in turn, and the excitement will never stop.
