Latest Events in Nagano(August Updated)

Toshio Suzuki, producer of Studio Ghibli, has worked with directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki to bring numerous animated films to the world. This exhibition will focus on the films and books Suzuki encountered as he continued to move through the ages, and will unravel the secrets of Ghibli works.

If you think that fireworks displays in Japan only happen in the summer, then you should visit Nagano in late November when the weather starts to cool down to see one of Japan’s largest fireworks displays – the Nagano Ebisu Fireworks Festival. The festival takes place on November 23rd every year on the banks of the Saigawa River in central Nagano Prefecture. If you have the chance, be sure to visit and enjoy the spectacular display.
