The [PRESSPLAY] Artivated! Drawing Workshop [Beginner] is an exciting programme offered by the National Library Board in Singapore. This workshop is open exclusively to members of the National Library Board, so make sure you have your myLibrary username ready before registering. If you don't have a myLibrary username yet, you can easily create one on the official National Library Board website.
During this workshop, participants will embark on an artistic journey exploring fundamental drawing techniques. Inspired by the works of artist Will Kim, this beginner session will focus on lines and movement. Participants will learn how to use dynamic lines to create abstract compositions that convey a sense of motion and energy.
Led by renowned Singaporean artist and ad-hoc curator, Bridget Tay, this workshop promises to be an enriching experience. Bridget holds a Master of Fine Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London and has received The LASALLE Scholarship. With her expertise in teaching art and her unique perspective on the concept of space in painting, participants are sure to gain valuable insights.
This workshop is part of the biennial arts festival, PRESSPLAY 2024, organized by the National Library Board. PRESSPLAY offers a month-long tapestry of workshops, talks, and exhibitions, celebrating the impact of the arts on young people's lives.
