This initiative, known as Swim 1922, is a partnership between Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and USA Swimming. The first cohort of this program will be held in collaboration with the 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis and the Locust Street Athletic and Swim Club. The Swim 1922 program offers monthly sessions on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 9 am to 11 am. Participants in cohort 1, which runs from October to December, are expected to attend all three sessions. It is important for parents or guardians to be present throughout the activities. The specific dates for cohort 1 are as follows: Saturday, October 28, 2023 | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2023 | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, and Saturday, December 23, 2023 | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. These sessions aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for children to overcome any fear or apprehension related to water safety and swimming.
