The schedule of events for Denison Ice Hockey Alumni Weekend, which coincides with Big Red Weekend, is jam-packed with activities that both alumni and their families will enjoy. Highlights include golf at Denison Golf Club, an Alumni Welcome BBQ at the Denison Golf Club Pavilion, and the opportunity to watch the Denison University Men's Ice Hockey game at the Lou & Gib Reese Ice Arena in Newark. Saturday's schedule features a breakfast gathering with alumni, parents, and families, followed by the State of the College address by President Adam Weinberg. Alumni will have the chance to hit the ice in two alumni hockey games at the Lou & Gib Reese Ice Arena, and will also have the opportunity to watch the Denison University Men's Ice Hockey game later in the day. The weekend concludes with a special Hockey Alumni Banquet, where inductees of the Hockey Wall of Fame will be honored. For out-of-town alumni, a discounted hotel block has been reserved at the Courtyard Marriott in Newark, just a short drive from the campus. Rooms are available at a rate of $109 plus tax. Join former men’s and women’s varsity golf alums for a memorable day on the course at the Varsity Golf Alumni Golf Outing. This exclusive event, held on September 30, 2023, will take place at the prestigious Denison Golf Club in Granville, Ohio. The outing is open to former Denison varsity golf team members, their families, and guests. Starting at 8 a.m., participants can check-in at the clubhouse before a thrilling 9 a.m. shotgun start. With a maximum of 24 foursomes, this event promises an intimate and enjoyable experience. Don't miss out on the chance to reconnect with old teammates and friends while enjoying a day of friendly competition. Registration for the outing will end on September 1, so make sure to secure your spot as soon as possible.
