AHAM Education Inc. (AHAM), organization in consultative status with the United Nations, in partnership with Diversity in Aquatics (DIA), and the SWIMS Foundation, and the Southeast Climate and Energy Network (SCEN), are hosting our Mindful Beach Clean-ups for the sixth year in a row at the historically black beach - Von D. Mizell/Eula Johnson Clark State Park focused on the well-being of people and our natural ecosystems.
We will provide various nature-based mindfulness/healing practices to build a deeper sense of interconnection and appreciation among humans with our community and natural ecosystem.
South Florida middle and high school students will have the opportunity to practice mindfulness, learn how to integrate into their lives, serve in cleaning up beach, and earn volunteer service hours toward their graduation requirements. Must sign waiver to attend. A media release will also be provided for photos and videos.
Agenda:
8am-830am - meet at Marina Pavilion near the boat ramp.
830 am- Peace walk, mindful mangrove planting and beach clean up activity
1 0:30 am- Closing circle
11:00-Signing volunteer forms and departure.
