Safe Dating: It is crucial to be cautious when setting up in-person dates or meetings. 1. Don't set up dates too quickly It's normal to chat and have some back and forth before deciding if a date is in the cards. If the person wants to meet you immediately that is a RED FLAG. 2. Meet up in a public place for the first time It's a wise decision to choose a busy public location for your first date. Meet at a pub, coffee shop, restaurant, and/or busy park. This allows a secure setting for both of you. 3. Always arrange your transportation for the initial date Always meet your date in a public place. Never, ever let them pick you up or drop you off on your first few dates. Even if they offer to pick you up or drop you off, say "no thanks" until you trust them! Remember the old saying stranger DANGER. 4. Tell someone you trust that you have a date Never go on a date/meet-up without telling someone. This should always be your no. 1 safety rule when meeting people for the first time. Let a friend or family member know that they should expect to hear from you at a certain time. You can also let them know where you're going on the date. It’s also a smart idea to have a ‘safe word’ or ‘safe phrase’, to use, just in case you need to make a quick exit. 5. Think before exchanging numbers Do not forget that you are under no need to share phone numbers if you feel uncomfortable. It’s OK to schedule dates and converse only through a safe app until you feel ready to give out your phone number. Always take your time when disclosing contact information since your privacy is crucial. 6. ALWAYS Trust your instincts If you sense any discomfort or uneasy vibes while conversing, or planning a date in person, don't hesitate to leave immediately and exit the situation. Your well-being always comes first, and it's perfectly fine to step away if something doesn't feel right. Let your friend or family member know. Information Source: Crazy4Events | eventbrite

Opening days and times: Friday 12 September, 10am-4pm Saturday 13 September, 10am-4pm Sunday 14 September 2024, 10am-4pm Monday 15 September 2024, 10am- 1pm The Grange was built by Augustus Pugin in 1845 and remained in the family until 1928. The building reflects Pugin's belief in the Gothic style as the only true Christian architecture and his ideal to live out his life in the Middle Ages. Pugin produced some of his finest work at The Grange including designs for the House of Lords. St Edward’s Presbytery which was built by Augustus Welby Pugin in 1850, part of this great architect’s original conception for this important Gothic revival site on the West Cliffs. The Presbytery has much restrained Pugin detailing to admire, although this simple house was not given the rich interiors of The Grange. It housed priests for only a few years. In the 1860s, Edward Pugin added a well-lit studio overlooking the courtyard of The Grange for his own architectural practice. Pugins lived here until 1928, when the Presbytery became part of the monks’ school. Free admission, leaflets on the building's history and children's activity sheets will be available on site. Accessibility At this property you are able to drive and drop any guests with limited mobility at the entrance and then return your car to suitable parking in the area. We do all we can to enable access wherever possible; for further information or if you have any access concerns that you’d like to discuss before visiting, please contact our Booking Enquiries team on 01628 825925 or booking@landmarktrust.org.uk. The Booking Office is open Mon to Fri - 9am to 5pm. Donating to Landmark We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to visit a Landmark for free as part of our Open Day programme, and as such we’re pleased to continue to offer free entry at all our Open Days in 2025. The Landmark Trust is a building conservation charity that relies on donations to support its work. Over the past 60 years, public support has helped us rescue over 200 historic buildings and make them available for all to experience and enjoy. Your support by attending our events, booking a workshop, and making a donation allows us to continue to save buildings at risk and continue to maintain those already in our care. Your donation could help train the craftspeople needed to restore a future Landmark, offer opportunities for young people to experience history first-hand, or provide a charity with free Landmark stay for their service users through our 50 for Free scheme. Donations can be made when you book your Eventbrite ticket, at the event via contactless donation points, or after your visit via our website under Support. Nancy Arruda and Sax Francisco are featured in the book Canadian Psychics and Mediums by Deborah Vaughan and Jean Porsche available at Chapters. Their paths crossed in the late 1990s in Toronto at The Omega Centre where they found a place to launch their talents professionally in The Divination Circle. For three decades they have dedicated their paths to providing Spiritual advice through private readings and workshops. They are excited to be presenting Spirit to Spirit and to be the doorway for "ordinary" people to discover their own extraordinary connection to Spirit. Nancy Arruda started her journey into the metaphysical field in 1995 after a series of personal awakening experiences. Feeling her eyes were fully opened she explored this realm with her inherent gifts studlying many metaphysical topics including Tarot, Astrology, Numerology, Energy, Auras, Charkas, Meditation, Dream Interpretations, etheric healing, esoteric topics including the other side, Reiki, Runes, Oracle, Native Spirituality, the Qabalah (Kabbalah), Earth based spirituality. "I am a psychic who has an open channel to Spirit, Angels, Guides, Past Loved Ones and Divine Beings of Light. Since I was a child, I can remember knowing things and my primary gift is Claircongniziance (clear knowing), but I use other natural psychic abilities of Clairvoyance (clear seeing), Clairaudience (clear hearing), Clairsentiance (clear feeling), Clairgustance (clear tasting) and Clairolfaction (clear smelling) in my readings." Nancy has been interviewed several times on online radio shows and has written a regular Astrology & Colour column for Open Magazine. www.nancyarruda.ca Join Clairvoyant Medium Sax Lynn Francisco for a Spirit filled evening. How many ways can Spirits appear? Let Sax count the ways. From Visitations to Apparitions to Spiritual Interventions. From Early Exits to Entrance into Heaven. "I won't scare you....I will aware you." Live Audience Readings. Q & A Who are your Angels and Guides? Let’s SEE! Sax's career started at The Omega Centre and she soon became a guest on Mix 99.9 Carla Collins & Company. Carla Collins called her "Hauntingly Accurate" and word of her abilities spread quickly. Sax was a repeat guest on The Crystal Ball with Ben Mulroney, and has appeared on numerous television shows including with Stephen & Chris on The Designer Guys, U8 Soul, CBC Divination and Chex TV Investigative Reports discussing her involvement on a Peterborough Police Task Force dedicated to Missing Persons Unsolved cases. Ben Mulroney called her his "favourite Clairvoyant." Stephen Sabados said "having a reading with Sax is like embracing the entire Spirit world all at once." Walking with Spirit. Talking with Spirit. Listening to Spirit. It's normal activity for Sax. Enjoy her Music, Medicine and Magic with embracing messages from the Spirits. She cannot promise everyone in attendance receives a reading but she will guarantee this to be a one of a kind evening. Please find her music on YouTube @SaxLynnFrancisco and on Spotify. Join author Allan Frater and learn an image-based approach to psychotherapy Allan is a psychotherapist with a long-term research interest in story and imagination – which came to fruition in his 2021 book, ‘Waking Dreams: Imagination in Psychotherapy & Everyday Life’ This workshop offers a pre-view of material from Allan’s forthcoming book developing the role of imagination in psychosynthesis psychotherapy – structured around an adaptation of the ‘Stages of Psychosynthesis’: Stage1: story identification Stage2: story disidentification Stage3: story emergence Stage4: living between stories These stages provide a basis for understanding presenting issue symptoms as an impoverishment of imagination – and for the healing and recovery from those symptoms, not as is often assumed, by the replacement of fantasy with reality, but rather with the cultivation of imaginative life itself . As we shall learn on the workshop, there is no getting away from stories as imaginative experiences, but what we can do is help the client to re-imagine the story being told about self and world, creating a new expanded story better able to incorporate the presenting issue. Event Learning Outcomes Distinguishing the benefits of working with imaginative experiences from the limitations of an interpretative-analytical emphasis upon figuring out what images mean. How to appreciate images as the raw-material of therapeutic work within memories, present-moment-perceptions (the transference) and future fantasies. Applying the playful unpredictability and creative adaptability of imagining so as to avoid the deadening and humourless effects of a formulaic scripted approach. Understanding how the synthesising capacities of imagination align with psychosynthesis theory and technique. Working therapeutically with imagination as a meta-function which includes sensations, feelings, thoughts, intuitions, perceptions and actions. Understanding imagination to be in operation all-the-time, not just as ‘pictures inside the mind’, but also in normal everyday life in the physical world. For three decades they have dedicated their paths to providing Spiritual advice and inspiration through private readings, meditation and workshops. Nancy Arruda Guiding Individuals Through Astrology & Tarot. I use the Tarot as a tool to open the doorway of communication, but once the door is open, I can answer all types of questions in all areas of life, including relationships, finances, loved ones, career or business. When using the tarot, my full psychic abilities are activated. I will deliver messages from the Tarot and beyond. I am a psychic who has an open channel to Spirit, Angels, Guides, Past Loved Ones and Divine Beings of Light.
