Discover how these canals have become a central landscape in various works of fiction from the late 19th and early 20th century. Explore the cultural and artistic interpretations of Mars and its canals in science fiction and their significant impact on progressive politics and revolution during the early and mid 20th century. As part of the LSA Arts & Resistance Theme Semester, this talk promises to shed light on the fascinating relationship between Mars, its canals, and human imagination.
