Together they are doing their second annual GRAND kids camp, teaching faith based lessons and life skills through creative teaching tools. Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies?! Dessert Valley Sweets is here to help! In this 1.5-hour class, we'll cover the basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you'll need is provided in class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron). This month will be super sweet – “bear-y” cute designs featuring bees, honey, bears, hives, and flowers – just in time for spring and summer! You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! This class is for the beginner cookier or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, found yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We will be doing a fun Easter theme set that tastes amazing and will look even better once you’ve completed your decorating! We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 6 cookies, 4 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate! This class is on 5/9/2025 and starts at 6:00PM – 7:30PM sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer along the way. These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and I’ll email you the class PowerPoint so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Class DIY Kits are created before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class. How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best.
