Crystal Arinze, owner and head stylist of @Weavejunky , will be hosting this “The Foundation” braiding class. With her 17+ years of experience in the beauty industry, she plans on teaching other individuals interested in learning more about the foundational skills and knowledge of braiding with her unique techniques. "The Foundation" braiding class's mission is to provide tools and techniques that will help aid and strengthen the skills and mastery of braiding from the level one currently is. This is an individualistic group style class that consists of literature, hands on lessons and activities. Our goal is to create and provide a fun and interactive environment as well as a safe space for learning and advancement. Join us for our first Dream Lab of the new year! We're centering this Galentine's edition of Dream Labs on pleasure and you can create your own mini pleasure zine! Dream Labs are a creative rest experience combining collective dreaming, journaling, art, and movement. In this lab, we'll create mini Pleasure Zines filled with pleasure affirmations and mantras to carry with you throughout this year. This lab will provide space for you to: Practice dreaming in community with other Black women and femmesExplore pleasure through creative play, art, and movementSpend dedicated time dreaming, journaling, and meditating on the life you want to liveAll materials are included. Feel free to bring yoga mats, pillows, and/or small blankets for the dream session and your journal. We keep our gatherings intimate to encourage connection so spaces are limited. Only grab a space if you can truly join us. Tickets are a suggested donation of $20, which covers materials, light snacks, and the support of our host, Adjourn Studio, for offering her space.
