Searching for a partner can be horrifically painful. But board games are always awesome. So what if you combined board games and finding a partner? Picture this: You sit down for a night of games. A gaming concierge walks you through several games over the course of the night. You play classics you love and discover brand new games you've never heard of, playing each with a different group of fun singles. All while in a great establishment with plenty of delicious options on tap. At the end of the night, you give your gaming concierge a list of the folks you met that you'd like to date and a list of those you met that you'd like to just hang out with as friends. If any two people put down the same name as each other in either column, then your gaming concierge will make sure you get each other's e-mail address and you can coordinate a time to hang out. Best case scenario: You find true love, discover some awesome board games, and make some new friends. Bad case scenario: You accomplish only one of those three things, which is still pretty great. Worst case scenario: There will be alcohol. Before you decide to buy tickets, a few basics we should cover: 1) This event is for men & women, ages 25-39. We also have events for gay men and queer women. And we're hoping to add events to serve even more people in the future! But we thought we should cover this in case it came up. 5) How many games we have and which ones we use will be based in part on how many people attend, so we can't tell you for sure what we'll have right now. But the goal is for all of them to be fun, light, easy-to-learn games. Selection will include games from both the something-you-have-played-before category and the something-you-haven't-played-before category. The games are also chosen because they often tend to spark conversation and leave room for chatting with new people as you play. Join us for Biddeford's Third Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1-6pm, with VIP early access starting at 12pm! Heart of Biddeford has teamed up with Banded Brewing Co. , Batson River Brewing & Distlling , Brickyard Hollow Brewing Co. , Lucky Pigeon Brewing Co ., and Nibblesford Cheese Shop to bring one of the best beer traditions right to downtown Biddeford. We’ll be blocking off a section of Pearl Street so we can celebrate in true fest-style with festbiers , food trucks and vendors, live music, and family-friendly fun. This year's event features an all-new layout with plenty of room to relax and celebrate with the whole community. For entertainment we'll have live music from the Oom Pa Pas and Jason Roman , as well as Oktoberfest-themed games & activities, including Inflatable Axe Throwing , Arts & Crafts with Common Roots Studio , and our Dog Costume Contest ! Our food trucks and local food vendors, including Cargo Pizza Co. , Cheese the Day , F alafel Mafia , Lucky Cat Coffee , Omi's Haus , Plot Twist Pretzels , and Sweetcream Dairy , will be featuring delicious German fare alongside other palate pleasers. Ticket Types: VIP Early Access ($45): The first hour of Oktoberfest (12-1pm) will be VIP guests only (100 max), giving you a fast pass to beat the crowds and get to the front of the beer line! Your VIP Early Access ticket also includes a branded stein, two drink tickets, an Oktoberfest sticker, and an alpine hat! General Admission ($30): A GA ticket gets you into the event from 1-6pm, a branded stein, and two drink tickets. Non-Drinker/Under 21 ($10): Event entry only; includes access to food trucks, entertainment, and games & activities. Kids 12 and Under : Free. A very limited number of entry tickets will be available for $35 at the door the day of the event. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase on site.
