My:ND Space CIC is a supportive, peer led project for the Neurodivergent community. Join us and have a go at furniture upcycling. My:ND Space CIC is a supportive, peer led project for the Neurodivergent Community - with or without a formal diagnosis. Ruth, who runs this project, says... "Being Neurodivergent has many challenges. It can be quite isolating at times and some people often feel misunderstood, like they don’t ’fit in’ and can struggle to thrive in a world suited to neurotypical people. I found my calm in the chaos that goes on in my brain as a neurodivergent adult by Upcycling wooden furniture. It gave me an outlet and massively improved my mental health and emotional wellbeing. So, I thought, why not share it with other Neurodivergent adults!? There is very little peer support out there when you're waiting for a diagnosis and very little afterwards, and although some people might not need it, for others being around other neurodivergent people can help massively. It can give a sense of belonging, provide a safe space to be your authentic self, in a space where you don’t have to worry about being judged or mistreated." In this session you get to have a go at an activity we feel is really beneficial to our health. We have furniture, paints, and space to share. We're asking for a £15 ticket contribution to cover some of the operational costs incurred. We provide the furniture, paint and materials needed. This workshop is for adults of any gender identity, who consider themselves to be neurodivergent. You do need to be able to work independently as you will be expected to be able to work unsupervised (this is not 1-1 tuition), to keep yourself safe and to be able to do your own furniture prep and painting. Group size is limited to 6 places. Demand for these sessions is quite high so if you cannot make it please cancel your booking in advance to allow other people to book. It also means we can plan and prepare for the right amount of attendees. If you want a video or any more information about the workshop space, or want to visit first - that can be arranged. Drinks, biscuits and great company all included. These sessions are located in a workshop environment so please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty / paint on. Please arrive on time to start at 11:30am. NB. It is not expected that you will finish a piece of furniture in the 3 hour session time. The session is to learn the essentials of Upcycling in a Neurodivergent environment. it is not therapy, counselling or 1-1 tuition. Join us to care for our parks by learning about invasive species, cleaning up and mulching. Who this In Person Event is for: Ages 2-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome but may find the event to be less meaningful and fulfilling. What you’ll be doing: Ready to make a difference for our local environment? Step up as a person ready to prepare our parks for a new season and help our green spaces thrive. Join Seeds of Caring as we partner with Westerville Parks and Recreation to care for our community’s natural areas. Together, we’ll take action by mulching and cleaning up our parks. In the process, all will learn how mulching helps to better protect native plants that keep our parks healthy. Specific instructions: All supplies will be provided for the program. However, these are important notes to set your family up for success. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get messy. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen for protection on sunny days. We also encouraged you to bring bug spray. Garden gloves of all sizes will be provided, but feel free to bring your own! Why you'll be asked to donate: Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Games Night Social for Neurodivergent Adults | My:ND Space CIC

Join us at my:ND Space, to access peer support, play classic board games, cards, or do a jigsaw with other Neurodivergent adults. MyND Space is a supportive space for the Neurodivergent community - with or without a formal diagnosis. Our sessions are for people who want to come together with other people like them. So, this space is for us! To meet others, to vent, to be our authentic selves and to just hang out, without being made to feel like there's 'something wrong' with us. In this session we will provide classic board games, playing cards, jigsaws and dominoes for you to use / play. All you need to do is book and turn up. Chat amongst yourselves if you want to, or sit with headphones on if you don't. Absolutely no pressure. Just come and play games with other neurodivergent adults. It's really chilled and a great friendly, supportive atmosphere. Soft drinks, loads of Tea and Coffee, and snacks are all included. Please bring your own if you have any special dietary requirements. We ask for a £4 contribution (£3.04 + eventbrite fee) for this session to help towards our operational costs. If you do book on and can't make it for any reason, please let us know in advance - we sometimes have people who don't turn up without letting us know, and because we are also neurodivergent, this causes some anxiety. Plus, if you can't make it, we can always open your space up to someone else who is waiting for a ticket - Yes, we're that popular ;) Thank you, and hope to see you there. A place to draw your favourite furry friends A relaxed and playful drawing class where you’ll spend time sketching a group of very good dog models, guided by a friendly tutor in a welcoming setting. It’s all about enjoying the process and having fun with your drawings.No drawing experience needed at all. This session is designed to be approachable and pressure-free, with plenty of encouragement and guidance throughout. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or just want to draw for fun, you’ll be supported every step of the way. What to expect: A warm welcome from your host, Alix or Liah, depending on the location. A table set up with paper, pastels and drawing boards. Time to meet the lovely dog models before getting started! Gentle warm-up exercises and short demonstrations to get your creativity flowing. A calm mid-session break so the dogs can settle comfortably. Ongoing tips and guidance from your tutor as you draw. The chance to draw all of the dog models during the session.
