Create wearable art from Sway’s seaweed-based film with textile upcycling artist Mira Musank & Sway CEO Julia Marsh. And take home samples! Fibershed + Seelie Studio: Sea to Soil Series Curious about incorporating seaweed-derived materials into your creative practice? Sway has been developing packaging made with seaweed, and you’ll get to experiment with their archival materials in this unique workshop. Textile upcycling artist and Sway film enthusiast, Mira Musank of Fafafoom Studio, will share her exploration results in using Sway film to create wearable art and be available to support your vision. Sway CEO, Julia Marsh, will also be there to answer all your seaweed-related questions. You’ll leave with a pile of materials from Sway and advice on how to flow them into your creations. About the Fibershed + Seelie Studio: Sea to Soil Series: Get caught in the current of creativity this summer with our Sea to Soil Workshop Series, which includes five events with seaweed dyers, kelp specialists, seaweed biomaterial makers, urchin dyers, and more. Join them all with the Riptide Pass or come to one workshop you’ll love. Events run from June 27 to Sept 6.
