Badacsony Harvest Festival | Badacsonytomaj
Celebration
The first harvest event took place in 1964 and was broadcast on TV, and since then our town has been organizing this harvest event under the name of Badacsony Harvest. The Badacsony Harvest Festival has gained wide recognition over the years, as it has been held for decades, and since then the program of events has been constantly expanding, as well as the number of participants, so that today we can say that it is a successful attraction with a serious tradition.
The heart of the harvest cultural event is the Harvest Parade, which is the longest in the country and features hundreds of people! The parade will be attended by visiting wine orders from the country, delegations from surrounding settlements, Badacsonytomaj's civic organizations and communities, entrepreneurs, wineries and enterprising residents of the region. Also participating in the parade will be folk dance troupes, horse-drawn carriages, flag-wavers, stilt walkers, traditional associations and others invited from all over the country.
The parade will start from Badacsonytomaj at 10:00 am on Sunday, September 14th, and will proceed along the section of Highway 71 between Badacsonytomaj and Badacsony. Representatives of surrounding settlements, folk dance troupes, legionnaires, Hungarian wine troupes, lancers, hussars and flag-bearers, fire jugglers, horse-drawn carriages and brass bands will make up the colorful parade.
