Titus Grenyer is an accomplished organist, conductor, composer and teacher. He's currently the manager of the organ and carillon at the University of Sydney, director of music at Our Lady of Dolours Church in Chatswood and the creator of Australia's largest organ Youtube channel, Pep Organ. Titus produces the City of Sydney’s annual organ recital program at Sydney Town Hall. He is excited to bring accessible and deeply musical performances to the city. O'Brien also serves as the Designated Federal Officer to the NAGPRA Review Committee. Bio Melanie O’Brien is the manager of the national program that administers the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). Since its passage in 1990, NAGPRA has addressed the protection and repatriation of Native American human remains and cultural items. Ms. O’Brien is responsible for certain responsibilities delegated to the National NAGPRA Program by the Secretary of the Interior. Ms. O’Brien also serves as the Designated Federal Officer to the NAGPRA Review Committee. Ms. O’Brien joined the National NAGPRA Program in 2012 as the notice coordinator, responsible for publishing notices and providing technical assistance to museums and Federal agencies. As the program manager, Ms. O’Brien hopes to raise the level of productive discourse about NAGPRA and to support the many people who are working so diligently to implement the letter and the spirit of the law. Muoversi diventa un modo per abitare lo spazio in modo permeabile, lasciandosi attraversare dal patrimonio visibile e invisibile di persone e parole che hanno percorso il giardino della villa. Non un gesto nostalgico, ma un’apertura a un presente stratificato: alle geografie dei corpi, alle sensazioni, alle vedute. Assieme risveglieremo i sensi, attiveremo relazioni, entreremo in piccole danze per disegnare nuove mappe fatte di passi e sguardi. Osserveremo cosa accade se seminiamo qualche parola o gesto all’ombra di una magnolia, lasciando che il piacere di muoverci sia il nostro rifugio, almeno per un po’. VITTORIO TOMMASI
A partire da un momento di sintonizzazione somatica e acustica, l’attività si concentrerà su modi di esperire la tonalità della materia attraverso pratiche di incorporazione. Sperimenteremo l'immediatezza della reazione fisica ed affettiva nell’incontro con l’altro. Nel contatto con un oggetto, il corpo è capace di mutare forma, accordandosi con la consistenza, temperatura e tonalità della materia. Siamo possedute. Attraverso esercizi di incorporazione siamo capaci di riconoscere come l’umano già sia compromesso e compartecipe; composto anch’esso da materia aliena. Immaginazione tattile per assumere distanza dall'oggetto e confonderla. Il nostro corpo già conosce la consistenza e tonalità della materia attorno a noi, non c’è separazione. Per finire, un tempo sarà dedicato a una breve danza tutta per sé ad occhi chiusi, per riattraversare l'esperienza e sentire cosa è rimasto nel corpo. MARZIO ZORIO
installazione site specific e attività di esplorazione sonora L’attività si basa sull'opera Bosco e approfondirà il dialogo tra arte visiva, essere umano e spazio in cui suono e movimento si intrecciano. Aste di legno di diverse essenze, poste su basi di cemento e dotate di microfoni, sono l'origine sonora dell'evento. I gesti dei fruitori, che interagiscono con le aste, producono suoni unici, creando una (non)partitura sonora in continua evoluzione. L'artista guiderà i partecipanti nella ricerca di un movimento d'origine, arcaico che entrerà in risonanza tattile con l'installazione influenzandone i suoni che a loro volta influenzeranno il movimento, creando un flusso continuo di azioni e reazioni. Taking inspiration from our current exhibition A river, a mountain, a field a road… spend the afternoon capturing this iconic Windsor location, with artist Dan Kyle. Age 15+, no experience necessary.
