Who doesn't love plants ? Your instructor will walk you through each step of creating pretty little paper pots from pre-made pulp. You will make them from recycled paper formed into a clay. All Things 3D is a hands-on summer workshop designed especially for kids ages 6-9 who love to create, build, and explore. This fun-filled program focuses entirely on 3D art—from sculpture and mosaics to clay modeling, recycled art, and more! Each day brings a new project as kids learn to shape, mold, build, and design using a variety of materials like clay, wire, cardboard, plaster, paper, and found objects. We'll explore different styles and techniques of 3D art, from abstract forms to realistic models, functional art, and even collaborative group sculptures. All materials are provided. The third annual Dublin Coffman Cross Country Camp will be hosted by the Dublin Coffman XC team, coaches, and boosters. WHO: Any incoming 4th through 8th grader (boys or girls!) interested in running, cross country, or just looking to get in shape for the fall! - Those who are planning on competing in middle school cross country this year. - Those who are planning on competing in middle school cross country in the future. - Those who are training for a local 5k or other race. - Those who are looking to get into shape for their fall sport or other reason. - Those who just want to see if they might like running, and want to learn more about the sport, as well as have the opportunity for fun and socialization and a positive experience around working out! Our main focus is on developing a FUN and POSITIVE relationship with running. WHAT: A four day running camp filled with: -Running, training, and nutrition advice from the Coffman cross country runners and coaches -Runs of various intensities/lengths depending on skill/age/experience and goals -Fun games and competitions including prizes -Bonding and friendships being made, while learning what Coffman XC is all about -Daily snacks -A fun race to end the week WHERE : We will meet at Dublin Coffman HS, outside the stadium each day.
