We're Tri City Improv. Since 2022, we've been performing improvised comedy in Kitchener/Waterlo, Guelph, and Cambridge. For ninety minutes, we play with ideas and suggestions from our audience to make up entertaining and hilarious scenes on the spot. No two shows are different! The April show features our female performers as well as a few ringers we've recruited just for this show. These are some of the funniest ladies you've ever seen make stuff up on a stage! We're at KWLT in uptown Waterloo for this one. It's a great venue with excellent sight lines in every seat, and a LICENSED concession. We're right in the heart of uptown, surrounded by some amazing restaurants and bars. Grab a bunch of friends and make a night of it! The doors open at 7:30, and the show starts at 8. We've sold out our last four shows. Don't wait - seating is limited - get your tickets now! Information Source: TriCity Improv | eventbrite

Details: West Coast Swing Dance Party ! Join us for a night of social dancing including an Intro to West Coast Swing dance class for beginners! When: Saturday April 12th, 7pm - 12am Cost: $20+HST (Uni students use code STUDENT to get 10% off, must present student ID at the door.) Schedule: 7:00 - 8:00 pm Introduction to West Coast Swing Dance Class - This will be a beginner-friendly class designed to get you moving on the dance floor. All are welcome. Bring your friends! 8:00 pm - 1:00 am Social Dance Party - dance the night away! FAQs: What is West Coast Swing? West Coast Swing is a modern, ever-evolving partner dance that is characterized by its elastic movements and freedom for musicality and expression. It is danced to a huge range of music including funk, pop, RnB, hip hop, swing, blues, rock... and more! Do I need a partner? No partners necessary! WCS is a partner dance but we will be switching partners during the class so you'll get a chance to dance with everyone. (If you are not comfortable with switching partners and want to dance with just the person you came with, that's totally fine too! :) In fact, as long as you are comfortable with it, we highly encourage dancing with lots of different people because it helps you develop your own abilities to lead/follow. What do I need to bring? Indoor shoes! (Not outdoor shoes will be allowed in the studio.) Dance shoes, clean sneakers, and sock feet are fine. Water bottle. Mask (optional). Deodorant/change of shirt. (It might get warm!) No alcohol. But I have two left feet/can't dance/suck at dancing! No such thing. ;) You just haven't found the right teacher/dance style yet. What's your mask and vaxx policy? See policies section. Policies: CODE OF CONDUCT Be respectful Be polite Be inclusive HAVE FUN! :) MASK & VACCINATION POLICY Masks and vaccinations are no longer required for public events. Please do your best to keep yourself and your community safe. This means if you are sick, please do not come to class, and if you have been exposed it is recommended that you wear a mask to protect the safety of our community and fellow dancers. If you are sick prior to an event please contact us for a refund minus Eventbrite's booking fees. If you are sick at an event (sniffling/coughing) you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. REFUND POLICY Class passes and workshops will not be refunded except under extreme circumstances, but can be transferred to the next class block if necessary (must be requested), or to another person of the same role (leader/follower). We are having a one off, business networking meeting in Eastbourne. Well, we hope it's not a one off, we are hoping that someone will love the way we do networking and want to run it for us! However, if that doesn't happen, we'll be sure to put on one awesome evening! Powered Up Business Networking (PUBNetworking) is an “out of hours” networking event that does away with the usual networking formalities. You’ll get to learn about the people behind the business - without a torrent of sales pitches …and bland tea and coffee. And you’ll get to have a lot of laughs whilst you’re at it! As you know, the best business connections are the people you want to spend time with outside of work. They’re the people you can trust, and whose company you enjoy. PUBNetworking is the place to find them. We have a loose structure, relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to learn from other business experts - with no strings attached. Just bring yourself, your e-ticket and your best smile and you’re good to go. Each event has four objectives… Meet awesome people We have a wide range of business people that attend. From start-ups to those with 30 years experience - across a wide range of industries. Everyone that attends is under no obligation to attend (we have no memberships, or contracts) so they’re there purely to meet people like you. Build long-lasting relationships We believe in a 'people buy from people' philosophy. In a relaxed environment, everyone feels comfortable and the connections you make are less forced, and more genuine. You’ll get to know each person in more detail - and have a good time doing so. Learn things without pitches Each event is productive and valuable. And we want everyone to walk away having learned something new. Our speakers offer genuine value, without sneaky sales pitches. We want you to take what you learn and use it to benefit your business. Have fun And above all, we want you to have fun. Sometimes that’s easier with a drink in your hand (it also makes the terrible jokes slightly more tolerable…). Our networking events are all about you, your passions and your business success. What’s happening at this event? This month, our speaker is the awesome Alessandro Calzolari. Alessandro is a key part of our regular Brighton meetings and has delivered some brilliant marketing talks. His talk is called "Logic informs. Emotion converts." Your audience won’t remember stats. But they’ll never forget how you made them feel. If your marketing isn’t triggering emotions, it’s invisible. Learn how to use psychology-driven strategies to attract the right audience, create deeper connections, and drive action -without resorting to gimmicks. Because facts tell, but emotions sell. Location. Held at The Dolphin on South Street, we have their function room all to ourselves. And a great selection of drinks too! Plan for the night: 7.30 - Meet, greet & network. Your chance to sign in, grab a drink and speak to anyone you’d like. 7.50 - Introduction from Milo. 7.55 - Your chance to tell the room about yourself with a PUBNetworking difference… 8.20 - 1-2-1 with someone you like. 8.35 - Grab a drink/have a break. 8.50 - Presentation from Alessandro. 9.15 - Close the meeting and optional further networking. 9.30 - End/move downstairs into The Dolphin to have a further drink should you wish. Important: Due to the nature of the venue, and room size, there are a limited number of spaces available. If you’d like to come along and enjoy a great evening of laughs, laid-back networking and actionable business help, reserve your space with an e-ticket now. Tickets cost: £14.77 (And there’s probably no better way to spend it!) See you there! Information Source: Powered Up Business Networking | eventbrite
