Whether you bring your own fabric or shop in Missouri Star’s 16 quilt shops, you’ll have everything you need to dive into the exciting projects we’ve planned. With plenty of open sewing time, it’s the perfect chance to make progress on those UFOs (unfinished objects) or start something new. Our Thursday night Show & Tell is a retreat favorite, where you can share your creations and hear the wonderful stories behind everyone’s work. In addition to all the sewing fun, there’s plenty of time to connect with friends, make new ones, and explore the incredible shopping options. What to Expect From Us: Sleeping Rooms - All rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. There are two ADA rooms available upon request. Meals - Dinner will be served on Tuesday evening. A continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday morning, enjoy a hot "farewell" breakfast before you check out and get on the road! Of course, for you early birds Monday evening, a continental breakfast will be served Tuesday morning. Snacks - We set out a snack table - because sewing definitely makes us all snack-y. We provide light snacks for the group but if there is something particular you crave, feel free to bring it. Sewing Table Seating - We do have assigned seating for the well-lit 4' sewing tables (personal sewing lamps are optional). If you are traveling with a friend or friends and would like to sit together - no problem! Please just indicate this on your registration form with the names of the people you wish to sit by. We also provide cutting/ironing tables, and power strips and small side tables. Sewing Machines - As we have said above, you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine (don't forget all your cords)!! But if you want to travel light, you can absolutely use one of our machines at a cost of $75 for the duration of the retreat. Author, shop owner, and one of the most talented designers in the quilting industry, Stacy West exudes creativity and craftmanship in everything she does, including bringing joy through her generous spirit to those around her! Not only is she the creative force behind the Buttermilk Basin brand but she thrives to bring you a welcoming atmostphere and unforgettable experience whether it's in her shop in MN, her satellite shop in MO and through her curated events. Come enjoy taking a wool applique workshop where you will learn the basics of wool applique and complete an adorable sewing-themed projects. You will learn her tried and true fusing technique, cutting tips, and basic stitches. We know once you learn the basics, you'll fall in love with this medium and get lost in handwork. Stacy will be teaching the Create Runner and Sewing Needle Keep. Kits are included in the price of the Retreat. NOTE: Thread kits for these projects will be available for the price of $23.95 (or you may bring your own thread as needed). For the Full Retreat Experience ($675.00) Includes lodging Tuesday – 9 a.m. Check-in, set up, shopping, open sew (lunch on your own), and afternoon scavenger hunt (dinner is included). Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course for HCP The BLS Provider course is a complete in-person experience where you will learn through lectures, video segments, practice and coaching, guided by a Heart & Stroke instructor. Receive ample opportunity to apply your skills and receive feedback before the evaluation. You will learn single- and multi-rescuer basic life support skills with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics in a wide variety of settings, including prehospital and in-facility settings. Welcome to the GOHOP Pancake Supper Fundraiser at Bethany Gospel Chapel! Join us on Thursday, June 5 for a delicious evening of pancakes and fun. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Program starts at 5:45 pm. Come and enjoy a fun and delicious meal while supporting GOHOP's ongoing ministry: providing prayer events, experiences and training for individuals, churches and other groups.
