Every September, a festival is held at Bulgaksa Temple in Yeonggwang County, the largest mulberry orchid-growing area in Korea, to coincide with the blooming season of the mulberry. The mulberry symbolizes longing, kinship, and true love, because the flower and leaf cannot meet. The 26th Yeonggwang Bulgaksa Mulberry Festival was held from September 18th to 27th, with the theme "Immersed in the Light of Mulberry Blossoms, Forever Glorious!" Representative events included a mulberry-lined path adorned with red blossoms, a mulberry-lined wishing path, a mulberry-lined media facade, a mulberry-lined moonlight walk, and various competitions, performances, experiences, and exhibitions themed around mulberry blossoms.

The 25th Gwangyang Fisheries Festival will be held from September 4th to 6th, 2026, in the area around Mangdeokpo Port, Jinwang-myeon, Gwangyang City, South Korea. The main venue is located at Mugeedo Plaza. With the theme "Seohak River Maekyu and Autumn Memories: Immerse Yourself in Deliciousness and Revel in the Charm," it is a large-scale autumn festival integrating food, culture, and entertainment.
