The TCH Car Show is making its return this summer! On the 7th June 2026, our TCH Ford dealership in Derby will be hosting an array of beautiful Fords in our showroom and on our forecourt. From pristine unrestored classics to mighty modified supercars, there will be something for you at the show, no matter your preference on new or old cars. Among others, expect to see marvellous Mustangs, excellent Escorts, and the hottest hatchback on the roads, the Focus RS. The fun doesn’t stop there! There’s so much more to the show than just cars. Throughout the day, enjoy food vendors, merchandise stands, as well as an exclusive TCH Car Show Awards ceremony. This will involve a judging panel selecting their favourite display Fords over a range of categories. If you believe your Ford is prize worthy, this is the best place to showcase your pride and joy. If you’re interested in displaying your beloved motor at the show, please select a ‘display’ ticket from ticketing options when booking. Don’t have a vehicle to display? No problem! Derbyshire Refugee Conference 2026 The annual Derbyshire Refugee Conference will take place again this year at the University of Derby on Friday 12 June 2026 (10am - 5pm). Join us for an insightful, full-day in-person event bringing together researchers, organisations and stakeholders, to discuss contemporary issues facing displaced people and those seeking sanctuary locally, nationally and internationally. The programme will include research presentations, insights from individuals with lives experience and those supporting them, and updates about the work undertaken as part of the 'University of Sanctuary' initiative at the University of Derby and of the City of Sanctuary network. The afternoon session will also feature an interactive workshop on 'telling effective positive stories about refugees'. The last event saw over 100 cars and this one is set to be even bigger with space for 150 cars on site. Our indoor display and café will be open on the day serving up a buffet breakfast and then a lunch menu after 12. Tickets are per display car, if you wish to attend in a non e36 car you do not require a ticket and we do ask if you could find parking around the venue so we can maximise the display. Sensory needs are often overlooked or misunderstood in mainstream settings but for many pupils with SEND, unmet sensory needs are a daily barrier to learning, regulation and participation. Creating sensory-informed classrooms doesn’t require specialist equipment or major changes. It requires awareness, planning and a willingness to adapt.  This in-person training session, led by SEND Consultant Beth Connor, is designed to empower mainstream teachers and SENCOs with the knowledge and strategies to recognise and respond to sensory needs effectively. You’ll gain practical tools to support sensory regulation, reduce distress and create learning environments where all children can thrive.  In this training, you will learn:  What sensory processing differences are and how they present in the classroom  How sensory needs impact behaviour, attention and learning  Signs a pupil may be experiencing sensory overwhelm (and what to do about it)  Practical, low-cost strategies to support sensory regulation in everyday routines  How to design classroom spaces that reduce sensory barriers  Ways to individualise sensory support without isolating or stigmatising pupils  This session will equip you to build inclusive, supportive environments that meet sensory needs without compromising on expectations or learning.  Tickets are priced to take into account school budgets.       This event is targeted specifically at professionals who work with SEND children.
