MEET & GREET (12:30-1:30pm) - You'll have the chance to meet adoptable dogs from Contra Costa Animals Services and observe them participate in a trick training class! If you have any questions about CCAS adoption or foster programs, this is the portion to attend! PUPPY YOGA (1:30-2:30pm) - Participate alongside the adoptable dogs in a Puppy Yoga class taught by an Equinox yoga instructor! Tickets are by donation and spots are limited. This is an immersive out-and-back hike up, along, and over one of the East Bay’s most spectacular ridges. Several species of oak call this place home, including unusual hybrids. We will learn about the oaks and their place in the wild community as we progress. There are tremendous wildflowers all along the way. The hike is not particularly long – about 4.5 miles – but what it lacks in distance it makes up for in intensity. The slopes are steep and can be slippery, so hiking poles are recommended. The route includes portions of Chamise, Mahogany, Las Trampas Ridge, and Corduroy Trails. Bathrooms are available at the start and end of the hike. Please bring food and drink. It will be nice to have our Sunday brunch along the way in a spot we choose.
