All materials for each process are provided so you don't have to bring anything other than yourself & potentially an apron/large shirt if you want to keep your clothes clean - Jesmonite washes out in the washing machine but it can be a messy process & if you have plans after the work shop you may want to avoid the temporary marks! Best of all, because Jesmonite is quick to set, you will be able to take your creations home with you at the end of the workshop! TO SUMMARISE - Easy step by step guidance to make your own items - materials are all provided. - Add your personal touch and creativity using various colours. - Take your creations home at the end of the session, keep for yourself or give it to someone special. - Group size max 12 people (including accompanying adults). - Jesmonite kits will be available to purchase at the workshops for any attendees who may want to continue their experimentation or give the kit as a gift to someone! Jesmonite is a non-toxic, eco-friendly, water-based resin used to create many kinds of decorative homeware, art, furniture & more! It comes as a two part separated mix of powder & liquid which at 1-2.5 ratio is mixed together to form a milky mixture. Naturally Jesmonite has an off white colour to it, so coloured pigments are used to give tone & hue to the mixture which is then poured into silicone moulds, where it cures & becomes a beautifully, unique item! Tap Water Records and Roots present: Roots Live! Featuring Eszter Vida, Django Durrant, Rhiannon Hope, and Mina Kiva. Roots Live is a fundraiser to create issue 2 of Roots. Eszter Vida is a musician and singer-songwriter from Warrington, England who now resides in the bustling city of Leeds with her close bandmates (affectionately known as the Vidas). Eszter's vivid storytelling abilities mixed with her band's immersive and ethereal production, makes her a standout act in the indie Leeds scene. With singles like "Paper Rounds" and "Kingdom" reaching airplay on BBC Introducing Leeds & Sheffield, Eszter Vida's music highlights wondrous narratives that reflect the musical style of the likes of Paolo Nutini, PJ Harvey and Wolf Alice. Django Durrant has been performing since he was all kinds of small and writing not long after, with his solo career beginning in 2022. There’s nothing Django loves more than making music. Influenced by the menagerie of sixties & seventies music and the contemporary indie/folk of artists such as Sam Evian, Johnny Flynn, Weyes Blood, and This is the Kit, he create’s songs that ebb and flow between these influences with nature driven introspection. Django’s releases to date include his folky EP, ‘Winter’s Come Again’, and four stand alone singles including the arthurian ethereal ‘Guinevere’ and his most recent indie-pop track ‘Ameliorate’. Rhiannon Hope is an emerging talent in the creative hotspot that is the Leeds indie music scene. Rhiannon uses her music as an alternative to a rapidly impersonal society, harking back to community centred traditions of English folk music and the importance of music as a shared, intimate experience. The strength of her performance lies in her ability to weave together unconventional instruments and textures, creating songs that reminisce on past musical traditions whilst still keeping a contemporary sound. Her musical style operates within the area between folk and jazz, pulling inspiration from artists such as Lianne La Havas, Aldous Harding, and Cate Le Bon, to create an intimate, soulful, and sometimes melancholic sound. Mina Kiva is a 23 year old singer songwriter from North West England, currently based in Leeds. She has been singing and performing for over ten years, starting off at a young age leading worship at her church. This led to her expanding her audience to weddings, bars, various events, and now her own gigs. Her performances on YouTube have racked up over 6K views so far, as well as performing for crowds of over 2000 attendees. Mina’s writing style is always diaristic, drawing from her life experience and emotions, while her music style is multi-genred - her influences range from soul, to acoustic folk, to rnb; building a platform to fulfill her musical potential within a range of genres. Recently, Mina Kiva has been working with Scottish rapper Bastet, creating a hip-hop sound mixed with melodic vocals. Information Source: Tap Water Records | eventbrite

Musical Arts
Beth McKenzie, Chloe Charlotte, and Holly Nicholson are three of the most exciting emerging pop artists in the northern music scene right now. Making up ‘The Northern Pop Girlies’, the girls came together in November 2024, and created a tight-knit community. In February 2025, the girls made their mark and solidified their status in the music industry with their sold-out show at The Deaf Institute. Coming off the back of this success, JustForTheRecord presents ‘The Northern Pop Girlies: The Wishful Thinking Tour’, which will see them make their debut in Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, and London. Beth McKenzie is a bright new addition to today’s pop scene. With influences ranging from Lily Allen and Paloma Faith to Chappell Roan and Gracie Abrams, her debut EP ‘Does This Make Me A Bitter Woman?’ combines Britpop nostalgia with the rule-bending vision of this generation's hottest risers, as she lays out her most intimate thoughts. From deconstructing a partner’s internalised homophobia on her hit single ‘Don’t Tell My Boyfriend’, to wrestling with religious trauma on ‘The Cult’, she details her most personal experiences in the hope of being a voice for those who feel unheard. For fans of Taylor Swift, Maisie Peters and Olivia Rodrigo, Holly Nicholson is quickly making a name for herself within the music scene. From raw emotion to a fiery energy proving impossible to ignore, she delivers lyrics that capture a kaleidoscope of emotions and resonate with her listeners, whilst her sound disrupts expectations by combining bright 80’s inspired pop with aggressive guitars and punchy drums, offering a fresh take on contemporary pop music today. Chloe Charlotte brings a heartfelt approach to her music, writing about the intricacies of friendship, relationships and navigating her way through life. Her soft indie-pop sound acts as the soundtrack to many a people from around the world. Using song-writing to tell stories of experiences from her own life and as an outlet to pour her feelings in to, Chloe is not afraid to lay her emotions bare, which is exactly how she has allowed her audience to connect to her in such a vulnerable and special way.
