The BBMA endowment fund supports Métis Albertans seeking to change their circumstances through education and skill development. Creating Possibilities is an annual cultural event that honors the journeys and successes of BBMA participants. The value of the program goes beyond the dollars--it's an investment in our future, helping Métis students achieve their career goals and make a difference in their communities. Awards are intended to assist recipients with essential costs such as tuition, fees, and sometimes textbooks and supplies. Each year approximately 250 awards are approved by the BBMA Panel. Since 2001, these awards have generated more than $11 million for over 3500 Métis Albertans studying at various institutions. 400 guests are expected to attend this year including Elders, Founders, previous and present recipients, dignitaries and generous sponsors. 2022 'Founders' Video BBMA Milestone Magazine Information Source: Belcourt Brosseau Métis Awards | eventbrite

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE HIGHLIGHTS: It'll be an evening full of value. Which highlight provides you the most value? Kantency Re-Launch Kantency technically "launched" back in November but was weak. We've done lots of learning since then. We've meet lots of wonderful people, had tons of amazing conversations, and each person has a different idea of what Kantency is (to no fault of their own). Join us for our "Re-Launch", where we proudly show you the new & improved Kantency! Keynote Debut Part of Kantency's mission is to shift perspectives. We love to tell stories and we have a knack for explaining world-changing concepts in easy to understand ways. Join us for our "Keynote Debut", where we proudly present our signature Keynote Topic: The Water Cycle Metaphor: A Tool for Mapping Organizational Change or [Unblock Your Blueprint: A Strategic Tool for Project Planning & Development] or [** something to do with bypassing the limitations of language to take a step back to the big picture and understand the root context of a change in order to enhance collaboration** ] ... the official name is still TBD. We will be asking for your insights & takeaways afterwards ... see the preview here Networking/Connection ``~Rebrand Spoiler Alert~ Kantency is Step 0. If Step 1 is implementing a change, Step 0 is taking a step back to first map out your existing systems to ensure that a Step 1 change is effective. Our network is our Step 1 team- a group of people who are the experts in their respective Step 1 changes & strategies. We want to help people in our network to connect with one another. Naturally, we want to be intentional about it too. We want to help facilitate introductions in the room to get people connected with the right people. Karli's Birthday Celebration It's an exciting birthday celebration for Karli, although we won't disclose the number here. The last year has been an absolute rollercoaster, getting Kantency birthed and off the ground. This next lap around the sun is going to be a BIG one, with oodles of big milestones and we want to kick it off with a bang! Also... you know you're an entrepreneur when your business and personal life become intertwined like this...
