Join us for an excellent opportunity to catch up and network with fellow members; look out for some familiar faces, and hear an update on how we are continuing to support businesses! Whether you are a regular networker or have never stepped foot into one before, our networking breakfasts provide you with a friendly environment to put yourself and your business out there. We’ve structured this event to give you the greatest chance of effective networking: We will facilitate structured sessions around tables where you will have 1 minute to introduce your business, moving a total of 3 times with ample time to chat in between giving us the maximum benefit of meeting face to face. The Chambers offer you the chance to make smart connections for you and your company. Successful networking can help you raise your profile, meet new customers and suppliers, develop your knowledge, explore new ideas, find investment, establish partnerships and build a presence in other markets. This workshop is perfect for beginners who want to make more of their flowers and try their hand at creating beautiful floral arrangements. It's easy, I'll start with a step by step demonstration and then its over to you to have a go at making your own bouquet. Don't worry, by keeping the group size really small you get as much help and guidance as you wish. Starts Thursday 12th June 6pm - 8pm 5 week course £130 A mixed ability class that is suitable for beginner sewers who have basic machine sewing skills. Total beginners must complete our Let's Get Sewing level 1 workshop or have a1:1 sewing machine lesson before signing up to this course. Learn to make a garment to fit we have a great selection of suitable patterns. But we are happy for you to choose an alternative please pop into Flo-Jo Fabrics to discuss. You will learn how to read a pattern, measure yourself, adjust a pattern to fit your body shape and then cut lay out and cut your fabric. Whilst sewing your garment together you will have the choice to learn how to fit a facing or binding, sew darts, set in fitted sleeves, put in a zip, finish off and hem. All with the expert guidance of Sabina who will fill you with confidence and have you smiling all the way! You will need to purchase your fabric, the pattern of your choice and any sundries that you might need such as threads and zips. A DISCOUNT OF 10% IS OFFERED ON YOUR PATTERN AND ALL MATERIALS FOR THE COURSE. On the first week you will need your pattern, fabric and a set of pins. Sewing machines, dressmaking scissors and any other tools needed are provided in the workshop. The course is taught by Sabina, who has a wealth of sewing experience that she is ready to share.
