The Macau Badminton Association and Sands China Ltd. will jointly host the "2025 Sands China Macau Badminton Open HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300" at the Macau East Asian Games Stadium from July 29 to August 3 this year. The Macau Badminton Association has been hosting this annual grand sports event in Macau since 2006. This year, this event, which is one of the World Ranking Tournaments of the BWF, continues to be co-organized with the local integrated resort company "Sands China Ltd." to fully support the cross-border integration development of "tourism + sports" and further enrich Macau's connotation as a world tourism and leisure center. The total prize money of this world-class international badminton tournament has increased to US$370,000 (approximately 3 million Macau patacas) this year. It is believed that the event will once again lead a badminton craze. This year's event attracted 442 athletes from 29 countries and regions to register for the competition, which is the highest number of registrations in the past year after the cross-border cooperation of "tourism + sports" last year. Among them, there are 269 athletes who are confirmed to be eligible to come to Macao to compete, including: National team Olympic gold medalists Chen Yufei and Chen Qingchen; Hong Kong, China men's singles player Ng Ka Long is back to defend his title; Indonesian pair Katama and Isfahani ranked 8th in the world in men's doubles; Ren Xiangyu, a national team player who has won many Super Series titles in recent years; Danish mixed doubles pair Jesper Toft and Emily McGrand ranked 8th in the world for the first time, and Malaysian mixed doubles pair Tan Tong Kit and Toh Ee Wei, who won the runner-up in the BWF World Tour Finals last year and are currently ranked 4th in the world. In addition, six athletes from Macao, China will compete in the event: Pei Pengfeng, Liang Yucong, Huang Jueyong, Wu Yingsi, Pei Zihua and Chen Qiaohui, who will participate in the men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles events respectively.
