An opportunity to visit Horatio’s Garden Wales for a private tour. Every Horatio’s Garden is created by a leading designer and rarely open to the public. This tour offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the restorative garden and learn more about its key design features and style, the benefits of horticultural therapy and the impact of gardens on wellbeing. Horatio’s Garden Wales was designed by award-winning, three-time RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal winner Sarah Price, renowned for her artistic, naturalistic planting style in such projects as the Olympic Park and a garden at Manchester’s Whitworth Gallery. Visit us in July for bursts of color from salvias, geraniums, and lavender fill the garden, framed by airy seed heads from grasses swaying in the breeze. You will be gifted a plant list specific to the garden and a beautiful enamel Horatio’s Garden pin badge, so you can continue to show your support long after your visit. The tour will begin at 10am and lasts 1.5 hours. We would advise you to arrive in good time to allow time for parking if you are driving and making your way to the garden. Off-Camera Flash Photography Workshop Build your confidence using off-camera flash in this hands-on, 4-hour outdoor Off-Camera Flash Photography Workshop . You'll learn to light people in real-world locations using a mix of 1, 2 and 3-flash setups, modifiers and creative techniques to bring depth and drama to your portraits. Ideal for anyone with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and a hotshoe, this session is perfect for those wanting to master flash on location - whether to enhance natural light or take control when conditions fall short. Starting from my South Wales-based studio in Penarth, we’ll head out for a 4 hour workshop in a range of nearby outdoor locations with a mix of practical, no-nonsense theory (seriously, we’ll keep the jargon to a minimum) and lots of shooting / practical time. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and chat throughout the session. Who’s it suitable for? You don’t need to be a photography expert - ideally you’ll know your way around your camera but this workshop is aimed at beginner to intermediate levels . This workshop is great for people who want to get better or learn to take location portraits and use flash to add extra depth and help out when the sun isn’t as good as it can be.
