Or do a TechDisc CTP - with your throw shown on the stadium Jumbotron? Well, we took all of that, combined it with special releases, a touring pro flymart and meet and greet, a women's putting challenge, a disc golf vendor alley, and power dga clinics. But wait there's more. The DGPT Press Conference , open to the public, and Staggered Stance's Live Preview Show will all be happening at Polar Park. Yes, you can have it all. But wait, there's one more thing. If you do the best in any of the disc golf challenges (putting, tiki, accudistance, techdisc), you'll be able to compete against touring pros at those games. LET'S GO! TechDisc Jumbotron CTP - throw a techdisc, see your measurements, and see the disc flight on the jumbotron! Yes, seriously. Every hour we will switch up the hole and the CTP on each hole will ... WIN A TECHDISC! And be entered in a raffle to throw a 3-shot CTP contest with SIMON LIZOTTE! Be a part of the first-ever open-to-the-public DGPT Press Conference. Your favorite players, the event organizer, and representatives from the DGPT, on stage, answering your questions, which you submit ahead of time via QR code. Watch the magic happen and hear the answers that start the discussions, live. Everyone in your group putts twice from each tee. Play all nine holes, 18 putts total. High score wins. Winning scores will compete in a putting showcase against the best two putters in the world: Andrew Marwede and Matt Bell. Come visit with Team MVP and be first in line for their two special disc drops at Polar Park. One of the disc drops will be a new Simonline disc! Step up to the tee at the Cosmic Par 2 Tiki Course! Imagine sinking putts around ballpark pillars and weaving discs through concourse challenges, all the way around the stadium. It's fast, fun disc golf, perfect for all skill levels. Your Tiki Course awaits! Before, during, and after the Press Conference, have a conversation with your favorite pros, take a selfie, buy a disc, get a signature. Rub elbows with the best in the world at the DGPT Flymart and Meet & Greet. You've got one minute. Can you get a high score on the world's only disc golf arcade game? Welcome to Disc-O-Tech. The top four scores, including ties, will have an opportunity to compete against Anthony Barela, Gannon Buhr, Adam Hammes, or Parker Welck. The crew at Staggered Stance will be in front of a live studio audience as they interview, prognosticate, and poll the crowd for answers! You could be part of that crowd! Throw AccuDistance on the baseball diamond. Go through the low gap, through the high gap, park both baskets. Most points wins. And the top two scores get paired with Simon Lizotte and James Proctor for a final battle, in front of everyone in the stadium! Peruse over a dozen vendors and try to snag some MVP Open x OTB early releases. This will be a quick and efficient in and out for the vendors. They will only be bringing their best stuff, to make the day a one hit sales wonder. And that means you won't want to miss Vendor Alley! Information Source: Maple Events | eventbrite

Keyflower is a hybrid between worker-placement, bidding, and action selection. All players start the game with a hidden, random assortment of 8 meeples (varying between red, blue, and yellow) and a single tile. The tile is the start of each player's town, and one of many tiles that drive all of the game's interaction. The goal of the game is to acquire various tiles and to intelligently activate them over the course of four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) to create the most valuable town. In spring, summer and autumn, more workers will arrive on board the Keyflower and her sister boats, with some of these workers possessing skills in the working of the key resources of iron, stone and wood. In each of these seasons, village tiles are set out at random for auction. In the winter no new workers arrive and the players select the village tiles for auction from those they received at the beginning of the game. Each winter village tile offers VPs for certain combinations of resources, skills and workers. The player whose village and workers generate the most VPs wins the game. Our Heavy Thursday evenings are the perfect way to explore a more complex title from our library. The game will be set up for your arrival at 7pm, a member of our team will explain all the rules to you so no need to know anything about the game in advance and they will stay with you throughout your play through to answer any questions you may have about the game whilst you enjoy the game. Come on down and give it a go! Information Source: Dice Box Worcester | eventbrite

Feel the need some some relaxation? Join Kirsty & I for a forest bathing session! Our Forest Bumps session is perfect for pregnant women in their second trimester who are feeling the need to relax and unwind, reconnect with nature and meet new friends. The session includes a free homemade snack and drink and a chance to ask questions of your two hosts - Cheryl, a Birth & Postnatal Doula and Kirsty, a certified Shinrin-Yoku practitioner. The benefits of fresh air and nature are huge both for mum and baby and include reduced stress, improved mood, better sleep, concentration and improved sensory experience. A calm and relaxed mummy equals calm and relaxed baby. As a massive lover of all things nature, when I met Kirsty and heard she offered forest bathing sessions it just seemed like the perfect opportunity to join forces and create a group together that would bring mums and mums to be together whilst highlighting all the benefits that nature has to offer, both to mums and their babies. Most of us are guilty of spending too much time inside and are being drawn further and further into our devices. Sometimes we need a little reminder and a gentle nudge to notice how amazing mother nature is. Getting outside, breathing in the fresh air, using all five of our wonderful senses and noticing the little things has huge benefits that unfortunately are being forgotten. We're here to help you reconnect, relax and unwind, leaving the four walls and the screens behind! Kirsty is a certified Shinrin-Yoku practitioner and owns Do Be Do Forest Bathing. “Shinrin-yoku is a Japanese phrase which translates as ‘Forest Bathing’. It is a modern approach that was first developed in the 1980s in Japan as a result of research by Miyazaki Yoshifumi and Dr Qing Li. The fundamentals of shinrin-yoku are to connect with nature through our senses. The practice encourages us to slow down and notice the natural world around us. Extensive research reveals that Forest Bathing provides significant benefits for both mind and body. It is recognised as a powerful way to reduce stress, improve our wellbeing, and enable us to rediscover our relationship with the natural world that we are a part of. Forest Bathing helps us immerse ourselves in the magic of nature, wherever we are. Nature is everywhere when our eyes are open to see, and Forest Bathing is a practice that helps us become more blissfully aware of it!” Come and join us and all the benefits nature has to offer! Once baby is born you can then move to our 'Tree Tots' session - perfect for mums and little ones. Information Source: Cheryl Griffin - Birth & Postnatal Doula | eventbrite

At the first-ever SILVER SCREAM CON, movie lovers, casual fans, and INK’s beloved “psychos” chopped it up with the stars of legendary horror franchises, including meet-and-greets, photo-ops, cosplay, an INK concert, and MANY MORE surprises. “The Silver Scream Con brought horror fanatics and INK fans from all over the world together to celebrate their love of on-screen slaughter”, Spencer noted. “This is the chance for our loyal psychos to not only interact with the band, but to meet the stars of the very films that our music pays tribute to.” ‍ This September, the Silver Scream Con returns for a new weekend of unholy TERROR! Description - In this fun social deduction game you will be randomly dealt a character. If you’re in the good team it is your job to discover allies, root out evil and execute the Demon! However, if you are evil you must deceive and confuse the good with your evil team to ensure that your Demon survives until the end. Parking - There are plenty of car parks in the surrounding area. I'd recommend St Martin's Gate Car Park (WR1 2BS) then walk over the bridge on level 2, to New Street. It has RingGo (7793) and closes at midnight. Sean will be parking there and is happy to walk back with anyone after the event, if you wish. Venue - We will be playing upstairs in the library space, which is very spacious and has table service, unfortunately there isn't any disabled access. There is a lovely range of food and drinks on offer, which you’re welcome to have during play. Storytellers – Sean & Ian Beginner Players - If you have little to no experience or just want to go through the rules again then please come 15 minutes before the session start time . The storytellers will do a full rules teach with Q&A time and then you should have the full session to play. I would also recommend watching some YouTube videos on how to play too. Gameplay - The storytellers will alternate storytelling the chosen Blood on the Clocktower script. We will play as many games as possible in the session, this will likely range from 2-5 games depending on how the games go and how many players we have. Low Turnout – If we ever have a session with less than 5 players then we will cancel the session for a full refund to those signed up. This will be done on the day prior to the event. 5-6 players will mean we will play Teensyville scripts. AOB - You don't need to bring anything however cosplay is encouraged. There will be pictures and videos taken, if you do not wish to be in these then let the storyteller know. If you arrive late or need to leave early you will be made into a traveller, which gets to play but won’t be as capable as the main characters. Information Source: Open Tournaments | eventbrite

How Speed Dating Works in Worcester When you arrive at the Worcester for venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table. You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up and for the gentlemen to move to their next date. Half way through the event you will have an interval break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. This course is designed to get you as involved as possible - this includes identifying, picking and tasting a range of wild species that will be found on the day. There will also be plenty of wild food and drink for everyone to get stuck into! The focus with all of our workshops is on the 4 'F's of Foraging: Fungi, Fruit, Flowers and Foliage . We aim for an array of these elements on every session we run (weather and season permitting!) Event sold out or can't make this date? Head to www.foragebox.co.uk/workshops or view our Eventbrite profile to browse all available sessions. What To Expect Our 'Forage & Cook - Full Day' events are full day spent finding, identifying and gathering wild ingredients before cooking them into a hearty meal as a group. This format is popular with those looking for a more comprehensive experience, offering us the chance to showcase a range of wild flavours. 4 hours will be spent finding, identifying and gathering ingredients. This will then be followed by 2 hours of cooking, preparing and eating the harvest. Expect a focus on 15-20 specific ingredients, which will then be incorporated into 3 to 5 simple dishes, designed to showcase each respective ingredient effectively. There will also be a wild tipple (soft alternative also available) served to the group and perhaps a range of 'table toppers' that your tutor will have made in advance to enhance the meal, such as a wild kimchi, a foraged ketchup or homemade seasoning. DURATION: 6 hours (approx 4 hours of foraging and 2 hours preparing and eating your wild dinner) We like to keep some elements a surprise for the day, but here is what you can expect from your foraging workshop: a short introduction regarding the safety and format of the day discussions around foraging tips, safety, ethics, etiquette, sustainability and the law a circular walking route taking in different growing environments around the site. Expect a route of around 3-4km predominantly on footpaths a closer look at edible wild species and any poisonous lookalikes by a professional forager a chance to slow the pace of modern life down, meet new people and immerse yourself in a soul-nourishing activity, reconnecting with nature and discovering new flavours small tasters of wild food, drinks and other preserves - this includes freshly-picked items straight from the wild as we look to find the ingredients that will work best in our meal our workshops are run in a welcoming and informal fashion, where attendee questions and contributions are encouraged after the event, you will be sent a follow-up email containing a list of everything we found on the day and a full menu. Please do not expect photos or descriptions in this email - it is purely a list for reference purposes, and we find it helps people do further research in their own time. At the end of the session, there may be a small selection of our wild products and workshop vouchers available to purchase (card and cash accepted). This is a recent element of our events after enough attendees made enquiries about it - there is no pressure to buy anything having already bought tickets but sometimes people want a souvenir to take with them! Please speak to your tutor about this at the end. Who Is This Workshop For? This is a day spent almost entirely on your feet, covering a fair distance, often up to 5km on uneven ground, so consideration for mobility issues will be required before buying tickets. Children are not able to attend these sessions. No previous foraging experience is required for this event. We strongly believe that foraging is for everyone , with all demographics welcome, regardless of age, ability, gender or ethnicity. Please read our FAQs further down the page to find out about dogs, children and mobility. IMPORTANT INFORMATION KIT LIST: What to bring with you DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: You will be asked for any dietary requirements when completing your booking. Please note that our workshops may not be entirely suitable for vegans and coeliacs unless you inform us of these dietary requirements in advance - we may use butter or bread, for example. Bookings made within 48 hours of the event start time may not allow for your tutor to cater for specific dietary requirements - please get in touch if this is a concern. Attendees are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the destination. EXACT MEETING POINT: In the main car park by the polytunnels Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/iPidufaYodbm9krB7 What3Words: https://w3w.co/seagulls.caskets.shaves PARKING: There is plenty of parking at this venue. Please be considerate when leaving your car and do not block gates or access for other road users. TOILETS: Toilets are available at this venue. Please arrive well in time for the start of the workshop, allowing extra time for the distance from your parked car to the meeting point and any toilet trips - we don't tend to wait for late-comers! Your foraging guide for the day should arrive on site at least an hour before the start and will start gathering the group together approximately 15 minutes before the official start time. If you cannot find your tutor around that time, there is a chance you are looking in the wrong place, so please check the event information for the exact location (not the postcode) Signage can sometimes be limited, so keep an eye out for anyone with a foraging basket! Minimum number of guests for this event to go ahead: 8 people PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide guests with a contact telephone number for your tutor. This is for privacy puropses but also because it is impractical to do so - your tutor simply wouldn't be able to take a call whilst with a group. If you need to get in contact, please use the email function via eventbrite or our website . Start getting excited!
