The Magdalene Flame - A Sacred Celebration on Her Feast Day | St Margaret's Chapel

Jul 22, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Glastonbury
Cultural Experiences
Welcome to The Magdalene Flame: a Sacred Celebration on Her Feast Day At the Magdalene Chapel in heart of Glastonbury, we will gather to honour Mary Magdalene; witness, disciple, and bearer of the first light of Resurrection Mary Magdalene, the apostle of the apostles, spiritual leader and beloved of Jesus, holds an important role as a woman in spiritual leadership. One who embodies heart centred presence, clarifying knowledge and intuitive wisdom, she is a master teacher of the receptive, inviting qualities of sovereignty. She is felt in the anointing oil which activates biological light within you. She is one who partook and offered the Eucharist and reminds us that the holy sprit doesn’t descend from on high because it rises from the flame within, from our own divine light. This is an invitation for you to come home to yourself. To love fiercely from your own full cup. To stand faithfully in mutuality so you can Remember: The Sacred Feminine’s partnership with the Sacred Masculine; in anointing, in sacrament, in song, in dance, in ritual, and in Truth. The Evening Flow – Introductions – Receiving the Sacraments with Avi Esther – Sacred Sabai Ceremony and Concert of Songs from the Magdalene Flame EP on its 15th anniversary with Nalini Blossom -Closing About the Sacraments The sacrament will be infusions of sacred Magdalena herbs including a small amount of amanita muscaria sourced indigenously and created from recipes from original texts and archaeological findings to recreate an ancient ceremonial offering of the early temples, which both Jesus and Mary would have known. This will be a Jun (like 'kombucha' made with honey made from tea) and a bread. The anointing oil will be a pure extract of Amanita Muscaria. Topically, it has a gentle, soothing, pain-lifting effect. About the Sacred Sabais The Sacred Sabais originate from an ancient Thai Temple tradition and means Blessing. Sabais are beautiful pieces of cloth in radiant colours, holding the exquisite energies of the Deities and Ascended Masters they are dedicated to. They are elegant and effective tools to help people connect to Source and - like a magnifying glass - they amplify the Light of Divine Love and Truth within the human heart. A Sabai Blessing is a rare gift, a precious moment of true peace, an opportunity to heal our soul and our spirit as we experience the presence of the Great Mystery. The Sabai Ceremony creates an oasis of tranquillity, a safe and sacred place to open yourself to the blessings of the realms of light. Accompanied by Nalini’s Music dedicated to Mary Magdalene , she acts as a channel for the compassion, healing and love of the Divine Mother to flow through. Sabai Ceremonies are not associated with any particular religion - they are simply a channel for divine love. About the Facilitators: Nalini Blossom Nalini is an internationally renowned singer-songwriter, sound healer, ceremonialist and workshop facilitator. Over the last 20 years, she has pilgrimaged to sacred sites around the world, studying with indigenous wisdom keepers and song carriers. From the Amazon Jungle, to the High Andes, to the temples of Egypt, India and Central America, Nalini weaves ancestral threads into a unique tapestry of song, invocation and ceremony. Her voice has been described as ‘an ancient and powerful transmission’, transporting listeners through the veils into timeless realms; her songs are deep prayers of praise and longing. Following a near death experience in Mexico in 2004, Nalini’s voice opened up as a conduit of healing energy. She subsequently realised her vocation as a guardian of the sacred feminine mysteries. She went on many pilgrimages to places where the Ancient Goddess was revered in Turkey, Gozo, Malta, Crete as well as many sites of Magdalene and the Black Madonna in Southern France, Catalunya, Sinai, Jerusalem and Galillee.. It was here that she received the songs of the Magdalene Flame EP which is now celebrating 15th anniversary. www.naliniblossom.com Avi Esther A natural medicine woman, Avi-Esther bridges the ancient and modern, honouring the traditions of the land while applying science and ethical practices to her work. She weaves ancient myths, biology, and integration practices to make each experience deeply relevant and meaningful for participants. Her approach is rooted in empowering individuals to connect with themselves and nature, avoiding prescriptive methods and focusing on presence and personal transformation. Avi-Esther began learning to facilitate alter states of consciousness in 2010 with tantric practitioner trainings, followed by 'Birth into Being' facilitator training in 2011. She ran transformative workshops using breath and movement to induce trance for healing and trained other practitioners till 2017. She used this knowledge and skills to help prepare women for childbirth and assisted as a doula for many women in labour, the most intense psychedelic experience on the planet. She began facilitating ceremonies in 2017 by invitation. She has been working with Amanita Muscaria since 2018 and is regarded as a leading expert in their historical, medicinal and ceremonial uses. www.aviesther.com We will be titheing 10% of the proceeds to our nominated local charity UNSEEN in Bristol, They provide safehouses and support in the community for survivors of trafficking and modern slavery. www.unseenuk.org/ Join us for an intimate evening of reverence and remembrance, as we return Mary Magdalene to her rightful place as a holy vessel and teacher in her honoured role as divine counterpart to Christ.
