Luca Caricato Laureato in Lettere Moderne seguendo un percorso didattico caratterizzato da esami di storia dell’arte. Ha conseguito un Master in Studi Storico Artistici di Tutela e Valorizzazione del Patrimonio Culturale e dell’Ambiente presso la LUMSA di Roma. Ha conseguito un Máster Universitario en Formación del Profesorado presso l'Università Nebrija di Madrid. Ha insegnato cinema presso l'Università degli Studi della Basilicata. Si trasferisce a Parigi per frequentare la facoltà di storia e di storia dell'arte dell'Università Sorbonne di Parigi. Qui, svilupperà la sua tesi sul codice esoterico di Leonardo da Vinci. Pubblica una monografia su Leonardo da Vinci: “Scibile Invisibile Proibito” che è frutto di una rivisitazione della sua tesi di laurea discussa nel 2006 presso l'Università degli Studi della Basilicata. Nella sua tesi, applica ad alcuni dipinti dei giochi di fisica ottica del genio vinciano. Il risultato fa pensare ad una scoperta. La Gioconda, il Cenacolo, la Vergine delle rocce ed anche altre opere di grandi artisti come il Caravaggio sembrerebbero nascondere un'altra opera nell'opera: l'invisibile nel visibile. È stato ospite di diverse trasmissioni televisive di reti nazionali per discutere le sue inedite tesi su Leonardo da Vinci. Hanno parlato di lui diversi TG, TG Leonardo, “Enigma” condotto da Corrado Augias, Mattino Cinque, dove è rimasto memorabile il simpatico confronto con Vittorio Sgarbi e Cecchi Paone, ospite di Bel Tempo Si Spera su TV 2000, in occasione dell'anniversario della nascita del genio di Vinci, ospite di TG2 ITALIA su RAI 2 . Nel 2016 ritorna a Milano, per approfondire le sue ricerche su Leonardo da Vinci. Riceve il premio Internazionale d'Arte Baronessa Soares. Presso la Sapienza di Roma nel 2019 discute insieme allo storico dell'arte Claudio Strinati che appoggerà senza alcuna remora le teorie di Caricato. Lo stesso anno collabora con l'assessorato all'istruzione del Comune di Milano e con l'attore Germano Lanzoni (interprete del brand Il milanese imbruttito ), per divulgare nelle scuole l'importanza del ruolo assunto da Leonardo da Vinci a Milano. Nel 2015 una Mostra Personale del suo leone meccanico a Palazzo Saraceni, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio a Bologna. Nel 2007 pubblica come autore il libro Gli Automi di Leonardo. E' intervistato per il programma tv americano Ancient Discoveries del Canale History Channel. Nel 2010 pubblica due saggi sul Catalogo inglese del Museo di Amboise, Leonardo da Vinci et la France. Nel 2012 pubblica un saggio su Il Molin da seta di Leonardo (1490-91) sul Bollettino dell’AHAI (Association Historien de l’Art Italien) insieme a S. Frommel. Nel 2014 pubblica il libro La Festa del Paradiso di Leonardo da Vinci. Nel 2015 pubblica Diario di un Alchimista, saggio sull’origine della vita. Nel 2016 pubblica per Area 51 Publishing L’Opera di Leonardo, serie di n° 3 Audiolibri. A maggio, sulla base di un disegno autografo di Leonardo, attribuisce al Da Vinci il progetto del Tempio della Consolazione di Todi, Perugia. Dal 2018 è Consulente d'arte per il Tribunale di Bologna. Viene intervistato nel documentario “ SECRETS D' HISTOIRE - LEONARDO DA VINCI” sul canale France3 della TV Nazionale francese in occasione dell’apertura al Louvre della grande mostra su Leonardo. Nel 2019 pubblica “Il Tempio della Consolazione e Leonardo da Vinci”. Per i 500 anni dalla morte di Leonardo, è chiamato dall’Università F. Rabelais di Tours, ad Amboise, Tours e Reims, per un ciclo di conferenze per le quali ha realizzato un modellino della Festa della Danae (1494) esposto al Museo di Sologne. A maggio 2019 esce il suo libro “I dilettevoli teatrali Spettacoli di Leonardo da Vinci”. Nel 2020 espone le sue ricostruzioni meccaniche leonardesche al MUDEC di Milano alla Mostra: Human Robot.
