Dive into summer with our fantastic Summer Swim Lessons! Our intensive sessions begin June 16 and run for 8 classes over 2 weeks, providing a fun and effective way for kids of all ages and abilities to learn and improve their swimming skills. Class Dates: Monday – Thursday: June 16th, 17th, 18th, 20th(Fri*), 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th *NO lessons on 19th June (Thu) in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day*We offer specialized programs tailored to your child's needs: StarBabies & StarTots (Ages 6 months to 3 years): A gentle introduction to the water for our youngest swimmers.Junior Swim School (Ages 4 & 5): Building foundational skills and water confidence with age-appropriate activities.Swim School (Ages 6 to 12): Designed to develop essential water competence and fundamental swimming techniques.Stroke School (Ages 6 to 12): Perfect for more advanced swimmers looking to refine their strokes and build endurance.Please read the individual class descriptions for detailed information on age requirements, specific skills taught, and any enrollment criteria. Parent Participation is mandatory. Swim diaper and bathing suit required. This class is to familiarize young children (from ages 6 months to about 3 years) to the water and prepare them to learn to swim in the StarFish Aquatics Swim School program. It is not designed to teach children to become good swimmers or to survive in the water on their own. Junior Swim School for ages 4 and 5
This class builds a positive relationship with the water while establishing safe habits with age-appropriate activities. Participants will gain confidence through successful learning of basic swimming skills. Key fundamentals include unsupported floating and efficient air recovery techniques. We focus on developing overall water competence and proper body positioning in the water. Swim School ages 6 – 12 years
This class aims to cultivate positive attitudes towards swimming, establish good swimming habits, and promote safe practices in and around the water. Participants will be grouped according to their current ability level to ensure personalized instruction. The curriculum emphasizes the development of fundamental skills, including learning to float independently, achieving effective air recovery, building overall water competence, mastering proper body position, developing forward movement, and executing direction changes. Stroke Schoolages 6 – 12 years
For experienced swimmers looking to elevate their skills, this class provides in-depth instruction on Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Breaststroke. The curriculum also emphasizes building significant endurance and advanced safety proficiency, with the goal of achieving swim team readiness. Enrollment in this class requires meeting established criteria to ensure participants have the necessary skills to benefit from the advanced instruction.
