Professor Perkins, a renowned expert in Medieval Literature and a faculty member at St Hughes College, offers a unique perspective on medieval narratives by exploring the concept of gift and exchange. In his book, he delves into the intricate relationship between storytelling and the act of giving, drawing inspiration from anthropology and historical material. We are also excited to share that Professor Perkins recently curated the Gifts and Books Exhibition at the prestigious Weston Library in Oxford. The exhibition, which ran from June to October, showcased a rich collection of literary treasures. As part of our ongoing series, we invite you to join Professor Perkins and a panel of experts for a thought-provoking discussion on "The Gift of Narrative in Medieval England." This event will take place on Wednesday, November 22nd, at the Seminar Room in the Radcliffe Humanities Building, located in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter on Woodstock Road, Oxford.
