The workshop, titled "Jackie Curtis Foil Printing Workshop for adults," will be held on March 9, 2024, at the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury. During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to print from plates that are made by covering various materials such as leaves, grasses, textured fabrics, and lace with foil tape. Cut out shapes can also be added to enhance the designs. The sticky back foil securely holds the materials in place, eliminating the need for glue and ensuring they are instantly ready to print with. In this hands-on session, delicate materials like skeletal leaves can be used to create stunning prints. The focus will be on creating prints at A5 size. If you're interested in printing on fabric, please bring your own pieces that are between A5 and A4 in size and ironed. Please note that the fabric prints won't be water-fast.
