What is Yoga Nidra Yoga Nidra, often referred to as "yogic sleep," is a powerful relaxation technique that originated from ancient yogic practices. Its history dates back thousands of years to ancient India However, it gained prominence in the mid-20th century thanks to the efforts of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, who developed a systematic approach to Yoga Nidra and introduced it as a structured practice. Benefits of Yoga Nedra The benefits of Yoga Nidra are numerous and well-documented. Physically, it helps reduce tension and promotes relaxation by lowering blood pressure, heart rate, and levels of stress hormones like cortisol. Mentally, it cultivates mindfulness, improves concentration, and enhances self-awareness. Additionally, regular practice of Yoga Nidra can alleviate insomnia, anxiety, and depression, making it a valuable tool for mental health and well-being. What is Outside Yoga Nidra Practising Yoga Nidra on Mother Earth adds a profound dimension to the experience, connecting your body, mind and soul directly with the natural world. Individuals can deepen their sense of grounding and connection to the Earth. outdoors Yoga Nidra allows individuals to experience the interconnectedness of all living beings and cultivate a sense of reverence for the Earth and its ecosystems. Tree Nedra In my practice, I incorporate elements of nature into visualization and sensory awareness. We are the trees; we are rooted and all the Mother Earth extends through our body into the Earth, symbolizing grounding and stability, What is a chakra cleanse A chakra healing cleanse is a holistic practice aimed at balancing and rejuvenating the body's energy centres, known as chakras. In many spiritual and healing traditions, it is believed that disruptions or blockages in the flow of energy through the chakras can lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances. A chakra healing cleanse seeks to address these imbalances and promote overall well-being. Cacao Blessing Cacao offers a range of health benefits, thanks to its rich nutrient profile. It's packed with antioxidants, which help fight inflammation and protect cells from damage. Additionally, cacao contains minerals like magnesium, which supports heart health and helps regulate blood pressure. Its flavonoids can improve blood flow to the brain, enhancing cognitive function. Plus, cacao stimulates the release of endorphins, boosting mood and providing a natural energy lift. Embark on a mystical journey that bridges ancient dragon energies with celestial light, assisting in unlocking the hidden potential within your soul. In this sacred workshop, we will delve deep into the power of dragon energies —grounded in the ancient wisdom of the Earth—while also tapping into the celestial frequencies that guide us from higher dimensions. Dragons are not merely mythological creatures; they are beings deeply connected to the Earth, carrying ancient wisdom, protection, and transformational power. However, their essence extends far beyond the physical realm. Known in many traditions as guardians of cosmic knowledge, dragons exist as multidimensional entities that bridge the gap between the Earth and the celestial realms. Their celestial aspect connects them to the higher frequencies of the universe, acting as divine emissaries between humanity and the stars. This workshop is for those who are ready to step into their full spiritual power, guided by the ancient wisdom of dragons and the infinite love of the celestial realms. This journey will provide you with insights, energetic upgrades, and a deeper connection to your soul’s cosmic origins. Your hosts Vicky & Christina Vicky – Channeller of the Divine Vicky’s connection to the divine allows her to access higher planes of existence, where she communicates with beings and guides beyond the physical realm. Through deep meditation, sacred rituals, and spiritual practices, she receives vivid images and messages from these dimensions, acting as a light worker and bridge between worlds. This profound spiritual connection emerged from a lifelong journey rooted in her childhood. From age 7, Vicky was a highly sensitive and empathetic soul, always feeling a strong pull toward service. In pursuit of this calling, she left behind her corporate career and businesses to embrace her soul’s deeper purpose. Now, she channels divine wisdom and energies, guiding others on their paths of self-discovery and spiritual awakening, offering clarity, insight and connection to the higher truths. Through workshops, public appearances, and private sessions, Vicky channels divine wisdom and energy to empower others. She guides individuals on their paths of self-discovery and spiritual awakening, offering clarity, insight, and connection to higher truths, helping them to unlock their spiritual potential. Christina Christina is an intuitive healer with over 30 years of dedicated experience on her spiritual journey. Throughout her path, she has received profound channelled messages in written form, providing transformative insights to those she serves. Her warm and generous spirit, combined with her exceptional spiritual gifts, establishes Christina as a trusted and compassionate healer. She is deeply committed to guiding others on their unique journeys toward wellness and enlightenment, creating a nurturing space for healing and growth. Christina offers private healing sessions and hosts group sessions to encourage deeper spiritual practices. Join us as we honour the sacred Dragons and let them awaken your soul’s highest potential. As nature starts to stir for summer, the Wellderness welcomes you to our annual Beltane Fire and Feast Festival. From 12pm until after the sun goes to sleep, we’ll be drumming, dancing, listening and learning at Wild Heart Hill. On the slopes of the stunning South Downs, we have a full line-up of entertainment, activities and ceremonies to keep you captivated throughout the day. Guided by Paradise Wild, you’ll lose yourself in nature-inspired tales, then melt into a meditative sound bath. You’ll feel the raucous pagan rhythms of the Pentacle Drummers and have your spirits lifted by the Gathering Light Choir. Then Coconut Eclipse will get your body moving with their folky funk vibes, live from the Wellderness stage. Later, as the sun dips behind the Western hills, White Raven Ceremonies will call in the May and cast off the winter. Then we’ll parade around the rally field, led by Poi Passion who’ll bring the Beltane flame before they thrill you with a breathtaking fire performance. Gates open at midday, giving you a couple of hours to settle in, ground yourself and explore the surroundings before we open the ceremony at 2pm. Throughout the day, Red Fox Historical Archery will be on hand to teach you how to shoot a bow and arrow. Plus, we’ll have craft and jewellery stands, handfasting ceremonies, and plenty to eat and drink. And, of course, nature will be all around to open our hearts and soothe our souls. This event is for school/college science technicians only. Join us for this year's science technician conference which is free-to-attend. In order to make it free, we are going with the idea of ' bring your own lunch ', although tea and coffee, and more importantly, biscuits, will be provided throughout the day! This is an opportunity for you to have a hands-on day of CPD, featuring a selection of workshops. Our workshop options this year are based on feedback received from science technicians and what they would like to see, including: KS4 GCSE Required practicals - This will be split up into three subject-specific hands-on sessions. Each session will look at several required practicals, selected by the attendees, with the focus on how to get the practical to work, plus insight from the teacher perspective on what they want students to get from each practical. KS5 A-Level Required practicals - This will be split up into three subject-specific hands-on sessions. Each session will look at several required practicals, selected by the attendees, with the focus on how to get the practical to work, plus insight from the teacher perspective on what they want students to get from each practical. For anyone selecting any of the above sessions there will be an MS form to complete so that we can target the practicals the attendees want to see in the sessions. It would also be useful to come prepared with any of the practicals you offer that you may have questions or problems with. Multimeters - how to use them and get the most out of them! Training for new technicians. Soldering with the possibility of doing this in one session or extending it out to two sessions so you can take your time! There will be a make and take project. Discussion group - general chat and sharing of experiences - the good and the bad, time management and tips and tricks. There may be more sessions dependant on the number of attendees. Everyone that registers will be sent a timetable for the day so that they will be able to select their prefered sessions before the event takes place. Human factors’ is the science of improving performance by understanding individual or team behaviour and cognitive biases. Only then can we redesign our clinical systems and environment to reflect this – thereby improving patient safety We often have to make difficult decisions in dynamic, intense, often unpredictable and challenging circumstances. Although our goal is to ensure patients always receive safe, effective, high-quality care, like all humans, healthcare staff are fallible and will make errors regardless of how experienced, committed and careful we are. Learning from other safety-critical environments, we now understand that the design and complexity of the healthcare systems we work in all affect the likelihood that errors will occur and harm patients. Our workshops engage and motivate participants to search for new ways of thinking and working. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The course is led by Professor Robert Galloway MOStJ, MBBS, BSc, MFAEM, MRCP, FRCEM, PGcMedED, MAcMedED, Emergency Medicine Consultant, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust & Honorary Clinical Professor, Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS). Rob is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and dual trained in Intensive Care Medicine. His medical interests are in improving patient outcomes through changing ‘systems of care’ from use of human factors and new cognitive decision- making approaches to new approaches in patient pathways and staff welfare. His impact on changing NHS practices saw him awarded the HSJ’s Top Ten Wild Card Influencers in 2021. Education is his passion; leading undergraduate Emergency Medicine at BSMS. He has also written and delivered courses on critical appraisal as well as patient safety. He has written numerous academic publications and two textbooks. He is a medical advisor and lead Crowd Doctor for Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club and is the Medical Director of the Brighton Marathon. He works in the media writing about medical issues and wrote a book, under a pseudo name, Dr Nick Edwards, about working in A&E which has sold over 400,000 copies “In stitches the highs and lows of life as an A&E Doctor.” He used to have a social life, hobbies and a personality. But he is now happily engaged with three older kids and a baby, so is more likely to be found changing nappies and being a taxi service! Information Source: Events UHSx | eventbrite
