The exhibition is curated in partnership with Mercis and will tour to Norfolks' Time and Tide museum after Leeds City Museum.

Summer nature playscheme for 8-12-year-olds at TCV Skelton Grange This 4-day playscheme is ALL about getting outside and we aim to be out in the fresh air for most of the day, every day! Past events have included: Shelter building, fire lighting, outdoor games, nature study, campfire cooking, field games, hammock making, wild food walks, woodwork crafts, string making, bows and arrows, stalking and tracking, pyro-carving, and charcoal making. "My daughter says this was the best week of all the summer holidays! She made friends, bows and arrows, campfire food and some wonderful memories. As a parent I can't thank you enough for your kind, caring staff who were great fun and engaged our kids in such a brilliant week of activities." This Summer School is perfect for children who love making and creating! Each day we will be doing a different mix of creative, engaging, and playful arts and crafts - including textiles, collage, drawing, printing, and more! Each session will have a different mix of activities inspired by the works in the Gallery exhibition ' Many Hands ’, and led by a mix of experienced freelance practitioners and our Gallery team. Each day the children will respond creatively to a piece of work by a particular artist in the exhibition. This weeks session is run by Arts Educator Sonia Moran ! The aim of Summer School is to make this summer’s creative, playful and fun activities accessible for young people. Allowing children to make new friends, develop new skills and experience an arts environment in their local area. We want to integrate the creativity and voices of the younger generation in the heart of the mill. Have them involved and become part of the shaping of its future. All materials are included, and no previous art experience is needed. Please ensure children wear clothes they don't mind getting messy. Each workshop also includes drinks & snacks for every child. Suitable for children aged 6-11 years old. Parents need not attend, but must drop off and pick up children promptly. This Summer School is perfect for children who love making and creating! Peer learning event exploring the value of talking about failure It's now over 2 years since the Failspace project officially ended with a conference on Failure in Edinburgh. In the spirit of our framework on learning from failure , we are keen to reflect on if and how our framework remains in use and the extent to which it has succeeded or failed in our own aims of encouraging change in attitudes and behaviours towards talking about failure . We are therefore inviting you to join the Failspace Team for a peer learning event which will bring together researchers, practitioners and policy makers, to share stories, insights, and strategies that support more open and honest critical reflection on failures we all experience in our work. Together we will reflect on what has changed in our different practices from doing so.
