Getting There
Brisbane is connected via Brisbane Airport (BNE) from Moranbah. The airlines which operate from Moranbah to Brisbane are Qantas and Sunstate airlines which are direct flights from Moranbah. The island is also home to the Tangalooma Wrecks, which is popular for snorkelling and diving with a passing parade of dolphins, whales and turtles. North Stradbroke Island is a 40-minute ferry ride from the coast and there are three villages on this island surrounded by majestic surf beaches.
Head over to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, world’s first and biggest Koala Sanctuary and hold a koala and see a variety of other Australian species. Swim at Streets Beach, Australia’s only inner-city and man-made beach surrounded by tropical greenery. There’s a Nepalese Pagoda nearby, which is one of the only three peace pagodas found outside Nepal!
