A Beach Hazards Statement remains in effect for Los Angeles County beaches and surrounding coastal areas through Tuesday morning. Elevated surf of 4 to 6 feet will generate dangerous breaking waves and hazardous rip currents, increasing the risk of ocean drowning and sweeping people off rocks and beaches. Minor seawater pooling and enhanced beach erosion are also possible during morning high tides. Caution is advised near the water.
