The welcoming boughs of ancient trees provide an eye-catching entrance. Three new wonders that draw people from around the world are ‘The Figures of Maidservants’, ‘The Zhou Cypress’ and ‘The Never Again Spring’.

The Mount Wutai is the holy land of Chinese Buddhism with five main peaks positioned as east, west, north, south and in the middle. Besides the religious aspect, the beauty of rises and fallen ridges of mountains, exotic rocks, crisscross roads, crystalline water and towering green forest gives its reputation and as a colourful and notable scenic resort. The five mains peaks namely are Wanghai Peak in the East, Guayue Peak in the West, Jinxiu Peak in the South, Yedou Peak in the north and the Cuiyan Peak in the middle. Other places to visit in around Mount Wutai are Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Manjusri Temple, Shuxiang Temple and Luohou Temple.

Tip: If you are under time constraint you can visit Dialuo Peak. Dialuo Peak resembles the five Manjusri Bodhisattva. You can also visit the Twin Pagoda Temple to see its unique architecture.
