The overall experience is great.
1. The room is very delicate, very clean and beautifully furnished. More luxurious Japanese-style room.
2. Facing the sea, the environment around the hotel is very good.
3. Complete facilities, private baths can also be rented if there are public baths.
4. The food in the hotel is very generous. Whether breakfast or dinner.
5. There is also a three-string performance at 8 pm. The performance of the old man is really great. Although he can't understand Japanese, he can be infected by the atmosphere.
6. One of the managers of the hotel is Taiwanese. Friendly and good service to customers.
This hotel is recommended.
Although I chose this ryokan as alternative place but it turned out it is my best stay so far. It is not far from Kuroishi and it is accessible by public transport.
Room is very spacious and has both a bathroom and a toilet.
Onsen is good. It has both indoor and outdoor ones. Usually it is not busy.
Food was great both dinner and breakfast.
Free flow of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also included. Very generous.
Staffs are very friendly, although their English are very limited.
Extra 150 yen per person for onsen tax. Cash term only.
Cashless payment is available.
My main reason to go to Ajigasawa was to visit the Takayama Inari Shrine with its snaking Tori gates. It’s about a tenth the length and size of Kyoto’s.
Found this ryokan by reviews in the area. It was a toss up between this and the nearby hotel; which turns out to be run by the same group!
The ryokan shows its age. But it’s very comfortable, clean and the service, especially by Noro who used his translation app so well, was impeccable! They have map of the property in English.
If you drink (alcohol), it’s available in spades! There’s unlimited snacks, water, soda, popsicles, coffee, tea and alcohol for guests.
The onsen is open to public, it seemed like the whole village descends after dinner to have a dip!
We spent one night: dinner and breakfast were excellent!
The hotel is good overall. This is my third time staying in this hotel. This time, I booked 8 rooms in total, two of which were booked by Rukuten Travel. Because these two rooms were additional reservations, I don’t remember whether Trip’s price was high or they were out of room.
As a result, the two rooms booked by Rukuten Travel had one more dish at dinner than the rooms booked by Ctip, which made me feel very bad about Ctip.
For this stay, the only thing I was not satisfied with was the shamisen performance in the evening. Because the resident performer of the hotel suddenly did not go to work, the male guest who replaced her was far worse than her.
I had a really great experience. No matter where I cut it, it was a nice space, and it was quiet and healed. I was worried that the toilet and bath were shared, but both were clean and I was able to spend without any stress. I would like to stay in a different room type.
Although breakfast and dinner are included, there is no hot spring and view. The hotel covers a large area and parking is convenient.
I booked here because the nearby non-*** hot spring hotel was out of room, so I had no choice at that time.
If you care about the view of the Twelve Lakes, this place has an excellent location and is close at hand.
Japanese hot spring hotel, simple, good environment. I was the only foreigner that day. It's just a few steps from Asamushi Station, but there are not many shops around and they have business hours. I arrived late that day and had no food, so I had to ask the front desk aunt to make an appointment for the hot spring. There are three, I randomly chose an empty one, the hygiene is OK, maybe there are not many people in the off-season, but if you have a cleanliness obsession, you can ignore the bath. I went to Aomori and came back late after dinner. The front desk changed to an uncle, who helped me connect to the wifi, and was quite kind. There was no hot water when I washed my face at 12 pm, and the toilet was also cold. The next morning, the water was still cold, but the toilet water was hot. When I left, the front desk changed to an old lady, who kept bowing to see me out. I wanted to smoke a cigarette in the yard before leaving, but I felt embarrassed. I waited for a while before going back to smoke one in the yard before leaving. If time is not urgent, I will stay next time and make an appointment for Japanese set meals in advance, both at noon and in the evening, (it must be early) It should be the kind that the surrounding merchants receive orders and deliver to the hotel, which is cheap and affordable.
Very close to Asamushi Onsen Station, the sea view outside the window is invincible, the hot spring is also very comfortable, breakfast and dinner are self-service, and there is a shamisen performance at night, 5 minutes away from the beach, you can swim, you can take a walk in the town, the whole family loves it Very happy!
Structure out of hand, but super friendly host, provides a pay-pay service to arrive at the station. Very high price in relation to the type of structure (traditional room with common bathroom), but clearly due to the particular period when we stayed during the city festival
GGuest UserThe location of the ryokan is ideal. It is beautiful and conveniently located along the MIchinoku Coastal Trail. The sunrises are spectacular.
The facility is very clean, with shared bathroom and baths.
The owner and staff are so kind and helpful and their effort to speak English was greatly appreciated.
We arrived late in the evening the first night, past dinner time, but was offered food upon our arrival.
The staff arranged for a cab to pick us up at 6 am the next morning to go to the Morning Market.
There was hot water and delicious green tea bags available all the time.
My daughter voiced that she wanted to see the senbei store/class in downtown Hachinoe. The staff went out of their way to arrange for us to have a private lesson with a senbei sensei who showed us how to make our own senbei, with different fillings. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
Dinner was well balanced and delicious as was breakfast the next morning.
There is a quaint train station across the street from the ryokan that took us to downtown Hachinoe at the end of our stay.
We will definitely stay there again when we return.
GGuest UserThe building and rooms were clean and very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the hot springs were included, so I had a very satisfying stay. After checking out, they even took me to the Yasumiya bus stop, which saved me the trouble of walking. I highly recommend this place if you come to Lake Towada.
GGuest UserWe wish to express our highest appreciation to the host of Shokanto Onsen Ryokan because she was very kind although she told us she will not manage to prepare breakfast for us due to our schedule was too early, but she was very kind, she woke up early to prepare a simple onigiri for us to bring together when we left. Thank you very much.
The room 's windows open to cherry trees. The lighting in the room was amazing which can be control in many modes.
The location can reach easily with taxi for about 26 min from Hirosaki Station.

GGuest UserThe room is clean. The lobby and breakfast and dinner are very Japanese-style. The heating is real logs. The hot spring is sparsely populated and clean, like a private hot spring. The little sister of the dinner staff is so beautiful that it is unbelievable.

MMax Powers 1993A great hotel! The cat is super cute and petite! There are more than 20 cats in total, and the boss is very warm and thoughtful. The hotel should have it and the breakfast is delicious. recommend!
