The first time I lived in the orthodox squatter house, I was pleasantly surprised. The house is very distinctive. The sister of the hotel will not communicate with the translator because of the text but has been communicating with the translator. The breakfast is delicious. Everyone must order breakfast in advance. There is also a vinyl dish machine in the living room. It is very nostalgic and sentimental. Otsu is really a very quiet town, and on the last day of 2024 I spent a very peaceful day here.

This accommodation, Water House built by the famous architect William Merrell Vories is a house full of history; located in a very interesting neighbourhood steeped. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and wish we had more than one night! We highly recommend this accommodation for its history, its convenient location and a chance to stay in a culturally significant property such as The Waterhouse by Vories.

The bath was spacious, and it was great to be able to bathe in the open air! I was lucky to be the only one there, so I had plenty of space to use. The surrounding restaurants closed early, so I considered skipping dinner, but I ended up using the restaurant inside! The hamburger and fries made by the chef were incredibly delicious ^ ^ The washroom was also very clean! However, the road to the station is very dark at night with no streetlights, so it can be scary. I recommend coming early! It felt great in the mornings and evenings.

Location was great, next to the lake. Owners were nice. Place was ok to stay considering the price. The biggest issue is that wall are super thin and if you a light sleeper like me - you might have a problem :)

It was a Japanese-style guest house. It was nice to be clean and spacious, and thank you for the kind words of the owner. It was my first time in a Japanese-style guest house, but it was better because it was a new feeling.

There were a lot of insects, but the location and cleanliness were excellent.
