Homestays in Jeollabuk-do, South Korea

I’ve been to many countries and stayed in various accommodations—hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnbs—but this experience was truly romantic. I stayed in a hanok (a traditional Korean-style house), and when I woke up in the morning, it was raining. I could hear the sound of raindrops gently falling to the ground, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. That’s one of the most charming and unique aspects of staying in a hanok—it’s something you don’t experience in ordinary hotels. Also, I’m very sensitive when it comes to cleanliness—I can be quite picky—but this place was spotless and extremely well-kept. Lastly, the space was filled with green plants, which added to the freshness. I could smell the natural scent of greenery, feel the peaceful mood, and truly enjoy the presence of nature all around me.

It was comfortable in a very large space. We didn't use it, but the sink was not cleaned well. It's a great place for families and friends to rest without cooking themselves.

Overall, it was disappointing for the price, but I thought it might be a good option for solo travelers. Being a private home, it had a local feel, and being only a 10-minute walk from the Hanok Village, it seemed convenient for public transportation to other destinations. It might be a bit inconvenient for groups of two or more with their own cars.

The guesthouse is conveniently located which makes it ideal for exploring Jeonju. The check-in process was smooth and instructions on how to access the room were very clear. Kitchen facilities came in very handy and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside I would mention is that the walls are paper-thin. We stayed two nights and had no problem on the first night but on the second one, we were awakened by loud guests at 2 am who seemed to be checking in very late (and possibly drunk). I would recommend limiting the check-in time until 00:00 to avoid any complaints or discomfort for in-house guests. Besides that situation the stay was perfect and considering the cost it was very fair.

Good location, go out to the food business district

I booked a place for a special dinner while traveling and business trip with two foreign friends at the same time. I was amazed at the beauty of traditional Korean hanok and was amazed at the warm ondol again. The parking facilities are convenient and close to Hanok Village, so the trip was easy to finish. Thank you.

It's the best place for family travel. There is no five-star hotel. It's where my son, who came out of the house, shed tears of emotion. Green plums can also be drunk for free.

Good location and friendly boss

I live in Jeonju, but my relatives came on a trip and booked accommodations, and everyone was satisfied. It’s a great location to see Jeonju Hanok Village! Even though it is in the middle of Hanok Village, it is not noisy, You can feel the charm of an old hanok. The mat on the floor is soft so my back doesn’t hurt. The second floor was a little taller than expected, but it was very cozy to sleep in. It was better because both children and adults could stay together.
