Our room was absolutely gorgeous, really spacious and spotlessly clean. The jacuzzi bath was fabulous and the view from the resort was magical. The food in the restaurant was OK, there are other cheaper and tastier restaurants within walking distance though. We hired a bike for the day which was hassle free and cheaper than the rental place next door. The pool area was beautiful and we even saw a couple of water monitor lizards. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxed and authentic Thai island experience.

We spent a few fantastic days at Secret Garden Homestay and we can fully recommend this place! Everything was at the highest level – from the wonderful atmosphere, through comfortable accommodation, to the hospitality of the hosts.
The hotel is located in a quiet green area, which makes you really relax and feel the island's climate. The rooms are clean, spacious and very climate-friendly, and the proximity of the forest adds this unique charm to the place.
The biggest assets of Secret Garden Homestay are, however, – hosts hearty, helpful and always smiley.They were happy to advise us what was worth seeing at Koh Yao Yai, helped in the transportation organization and made sure that we didn't miss anything.
This is a place with the soul we would love to return to. If you are looking for a quiet corner in the surrounding nature, Secret Garden Homestay is the perfect choice!

Amazing food, perfect hosts, stunning view, remote and beautiful location with few tourists. The perfect place to relax and the perfect base from which you can explore the island. The beach is only a short walk down from the hostel where there is a bar and you can catch beautiful sunsets. The hosts were amazing, cooking fresh meals for amazing prices. 100% recommend. GGuest UserIf you want a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, this little piece of paradise is almost perfect. Staff were great (Sin was very friendly and helpful), room was clean and spacious, bed large and comfortable, great views, breakfast, pool etc.
Room for improvement: the shower was decent but could have been better, the small white desk/bedside table was not comfortable and didn't really fit in with the rest of the decor in the room, and I didn't get a reply to the email I sent prior to my arrival asking about transfers to the property. Overall though, still great and we would have loved to stay longer.

JJamesplace is located on the main road, bit of traffic noise and a bar next door, but was not an issue. 771's, tourist shops, supermarkets, restaurants & bars all around, also mcdonalds 100m away if needed.can book trips & travel at reception, small dining area downstairs with coffee, microwave & toaster, bit of a hostel vibe rather than hotel. room was small, but perfectly adequate for my needs. (2 & luggage might be a squeeze, but they have larger rooms too), comfy bed, hot shower and decent aircon
not far from the beach by foot.
Recommend the Taj Mahal Indian 50m up the road.

MMaDeGA wonderful quiet place away from the noise. The hotel territory is small, cozy and very green. Accommodation in a house on the lake, with a large room and a balcony. You fall asleep to the sounds of nature, and in the morning, they bring you a delicious breakfast. The room has everything for relaxation. A beautiful deserted beach is 10 minutes away by car. A good restaurant for dinner is within walking distance. We liked everything.

GGuest UserEverything was great, except that there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room at the beginning (~15), because the rooms are aired when not occupied and a lot of bugs get in. Otherwise everything was there and clean, just a bit outdated. The staff was very nice but not always easy to find. The location is pleasantly quiet :)

SSajed ChowdhuryWe were planning to drive to Phuket from Surat Thani and chose to stay here overnight and go to Phuket the next morning. Accommodation is great with elegant design and high quality amenities. No fridge in room but you can use the fridge in the common area. Had a great night's sleep. Couldn't have asked for more. There are some eateries just next to it too. 10/10

TTimIt was an amazing stay with a perfect service! The room was perfectly located on the second floor, it was more than clean and we really appreciated our honeymoon setup! Everyday you get new towels and new waterbottles. We can recommend to book the day tour directly with them to get a good price! See you next time Kao Lak!

GGuest UserI really liked the hotel. Very neat, stylish and pleasant. Hospitable hosts and very friendly girls - staff. All are responsible in their duties and do their job well. Clean rooms - daily cleaning.
Our room overlooked the lake - in the evenings there was no noise from the street.
Next to the hotel there is Sever Eleven within walking distance, pharmacies, and a night market.
I highly recommend the cafe opposite the hotel LACKY - they cook delicious food.
It's 700 m to the sea.
The beach is good, wide.
The only nuance of the hotel that I would like to draw attention to is that breakfast is the same every day. I would like some variety.
Otherwise, the hotel is excellent.
I highly recommend it.

GGuest UserWe would have liked to have stayed longer. We have never had such friendly staff. They even helped us rent a scooter and drove us there personally and we didn't have to worry about taking the scooter away. In general they were very helpful and we were given a warm welcome. The room was also super clean and we slept in very comfortable beds. If we come to Ko Yao Noi again, we would come back here straight away. Really a recommendation! Thank you for everything :)
