Clean, VERY clean. Included breakfast and a nice area to share with people. Fair price.
The room had too many beds. It should be with 4 instead of 6. Air circulation was poor. Lockers make a lot of noise.
Granville area is convenient but at the same time too many drug ******* and weird stuff going on. At least the station to the airport was close.

The service staff was very friendly, which I appreciated. But there are a lot of homeless people nearby, which is disturbing. The room has no ventilation, seems to have not been cleaned, and the facilities are also very poor. Since I booked the hotel at the last minute and the price was not high, I accepted it. The hotel has two locks, but the odd tenant is a little unsettling. Thank you very much to the receptionist for changing me to a more suitable room! If I were given a choice again, I would not choose this hotel. I still appreciate every service member's help. Breakfast is a simple buffet with hard-boiled eggs, toast and juice. Dinner was simple rice with sauce on top. There are many supermarkets nearby. You can choose to go shopping on your own, but be sure to avoid the hordes of homeless people.

Very convenient location if your sim is to be right in the city center. The two subway train lines are within a couple of minutes walk ,as is the main high street. The Canada line provides a direct route to the train station (tip: buy a day ticket and it will cost less that the ticket to cross zones plus the additional airport surcharge). The Canada line is so convenient that if you did not care about being in the city center then staying somewhere else along the line further out may be cheaper.
Hostel was clean and well organized. There is a strict no eating in the room policy, though there are kitchen facilities to be used. Hire a towel. Rooms and front entrance has key card access. Room has no Aircon so can be warm, though there is a small electric fan.
The room with two beds has bunk bed, cages under the bed and a stool….that is it. There are no privacy curtains, individual dockets or lights for each bed, only the main room light so make sure you have a touch/light, though as the curtains do not block all street light the room feels as it has a nightlight on and does not ever get really dark.
I stayed Saturday and Sunday night. Sunday was quiet , though the hostel is above a bar and do Saturday had music playing for many hours while trying to get to sleep not the place for light sleepers.
It was an amazing exercise staying at Turtle, it’s in the middle of downtown, super close to ocean, restaurants and night life is good. I’m definitely staying there again! It was clean n neat, no one disturbed, guests were super friendly.

It would have been really important to mention that they have cats. You know. To someone like me who is very allergic to cats. I have emergency medication for this kind of BS. I was there one night but I would have rebooked if was not way too late. 1 night of sleepless wheezing misery. Without the allergy thing, the rooms were hot and airless. People were leaving the doors open and using fans to blow around the cat dander, I mean air. It's not safe to leave doors open, but that's the guests.
The ladder for the top bunk (bunkbed) had one side not covered. It's sharp metal and easy to cut yourself on. These issues are not hard to fix, hopefully they can improve, since that location is perfect for walking to and from concerts. Hey if you love cats, still be careful, this neighbourhood can be dangerous.
There is no free breakfast, there is a kitchen where you can cook your own food. Suitable for children, there are a variety of room types to choose from. The hostel is in the city center and has a parking lot. The yard is very nice, with walnut trees over 80 years old
Very good, there are Chinese-speaking staff, you can contact us via WeChat, and you can pay with PayPal or credit card. Clean and tidy, the yard is quiet. Peaceful.

MMariaThe spot of the hotel was fine but not really near in downtown. The only accessible was the orchard mall its just 2minutes walk. But overall it was a good place to stay. Quite and clean!
GGuest UserMy friend and I were very impressed with the Arbutus Inn. It was a very clean hotel and was newly renovated. The renovations were very tasteful and our room was very nice. You could also tell that there were new beds. They were very comfortable and had a good design. I was especially impressed that there no ”smoke” smell in the rooms or in the hotel lobby. All in all it was a very good experience.
GGuest UserExcellent spot in Kelowna, have stayed in many hotels/motels there as well as lived there, nice area close to everything … this has a private courtyard, picnic tables, bbq, pool, games outside which are right there, perfect for families, super friendly people who run the place, nobody harrrasing you when you have a smoke outside (even tho they have the usual rules), direct room access outside, easy for loading/unloading luggage, super nice renovated suites with big screen tv, large kitchen, meeting table, outside patio on each suite, you can’t get any better than this and it’s a fraction of the price of the mainstream hotels where you need to take an elevator, walk a mile to go outside for a smoke and feel like a bird in a cage …. and have no patio access. This is a hidden gem in Kelowna, it’s the best hotel/motel for one of the lowest prices in the city. I lived here for years, and stayed in most of them since I’m travelling here for business every 3 weeks. 5 stars …. You will be shocked how cool this place is … You are welcome!
MM19055****For this price in Vancouver, it's really great value for money. It's a guesthouse located in a villa, and it's exceptionally clean. I woke up several times during the night due to jet lag, and there wasn't a single bug in the kitchen or bathroom, which shows how meticulous the host is about cleanliness. The only minor downside was that the bed sagged a bit in the middle. The host was easy to reach via WeChat, which was very convenient. Airport transfers were 30 CAD per trip. If I have a layover in Vancouver again, I'll definitely stay here.

DDeva.Howard Johnson by Wyndham Downtown Kamloops is a solid choice if you're looking for a place to stay in the city center. It's close to restaurants, shops, and other key spots like the hospital and courthouse. Plus, it's super budget-friendly, which is a major plus.
The hotel itself is a bit older, but it's clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic. Just keep in mind that there's no pool or fancy breakfast spread – it's more of a continental-style breakfast. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to request a room that faces the back, since the street noise can be pretty loud.
Overall, it's a great choice for a quick stay or if you're on a tight budget. Just don't expect any frills or luxury amenities. It's a no-frills spot that gets the job done, and the location is basically unbeatable.

Ttiny1313The hotel is located next to Xiangnagen Lake, the scenery is beautiful, we just encountered heavy snow and the scenery is different. The hotel is an Inn, the facilities are very general and old. The service staff is very polite. Since it is an Inn, there is no way to put forward higher requirements for the facilities.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has solid amenities, there’s a gym, pool, and a functional kitchen. The room was spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable short stay. It’s a good option if you’re looking for a place with complete facilities at a reasonable price.
That said, cleanliness could be better. The room had a dusty smell, and the walls were visibly dusty, which took away from the overall comfort. Some finishes, like the cemented sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, felt a bit unfinished.
Service was okay, staff were polite, though not welcoming. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, which doesn’t give much flexibility.
Overall, a decent stay with good amenities, but there’s room for improvement in cleanliness and service.
