Hostels in Lombardy, Italy

We stayed for 2 nights here. Ostelzzz Milan is in central location, easily to reach to subway Lima and Milano Porta Venezia station. I could stroll along to visit many tourist attractions within 1-2 km radius. I booked a room with double bed, spacious than my expectations. There were few ceiling tiles cracked and showers a bit broken, but still function well. Breakfast came with coffee, fruit juice, milk, cornflakes, ham, cheese, croissants plain and chocolate flavor, all tastes surprisingly good.  There are restaurant options in vicinity. Overall we had pleasant time in Milan and would recommend Ostelzzz for one of nice options. Last but not least, every single staff here is very helpful and has service minded.

The hostel was nice, my room had an internal bathroom and there were shared bathrooms and a kitchen outside too. The only issue was that the shower was very small and the bath soap isn't very good. But for 15€ the hostel was an absolute steal. Appreciated the great service and openness to help even late during the night. I'd highly recommend for anyone interested in a place to stay in Milan ☺️ There's free wifi but you have to pay for a towels 2€. Also they give you a lock for the bed. I had an absolute great time there

The place is clean and tidy. The people there are friendly. The reception closed at 7.30 pm. So not sure if customer arrives after that time. Need a bit of walking to the location and the pavement is not even. So it is difficulty if roller is used. Generally good experience.

The location is a bit disappointing. However, the hotel service was the most satisfactory among the hotels I have stayed at. Please note that the shuttle bus runs from the nearby bus stop under the overpass to the nearby station. However, the breakfast preparation is too slow and frustrating. Other hotels start at 6-7, but they say breakfast starts at 7, but in reality, they only open the door and breakfast is not properly prepared until 7:30. I do not recommend this to those who have to start their day early.

A fantastic hostel! They offer 24-hour check-in service, and even though I arrived in the middle of the night, the staff warmly welcomed me, showed me around the facilities, and even offered me a welcome drink! The next day, I could store my luggage for free, and the staff kindly made me an espresso to start my morning. At noon, I had a small issue—my sandwich in the shared fridge was accidentally taken by someone. I tell this to the front desk, and coincidentally, the owner was there. She was incredibly thoughtful and even offered to have the kitchen make me a toast! Amazing customer service and problem-solving mindset! Next time I visit Milan, I’ll stay at Ostello Bello - Milano Duomo again.

The reception is open 24 hours a day, so I was able to check in even though I arrived early. I was also grateful that they let me charge my phone after checking out of the room and let me use the shared space. The Duomo is within walking distance, but it's dark at night and it's scary to walk alone, so I think it's best to be careful. I asked for water in a plastic bottle, and they kindly did. There were several supermarkets nearby, so I was able to buy souvenirs there.

Except that the address is far from the city center, everything else is good. There is a station nearby than you take a bus or tram, but the bus schedule at night is not close.

A very calm and welcoming place. The hostel is in Menaggio, a village on the Lake. You can only get there by boat or bus, so it's a good idea to plan ahead, the boat cost €14.

I had an amazing stay at Ostello Bello Grande! The location is unbeatable — just a few steps from Milano Centrale train station, making it perfect for early trains, late arrivals, or exploring the city. The hostel is safe, clean, and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always ready to give great tips about Milan. The communal areas are cozy and lively, perfect for meeting other travelers. I loved the little extras they offer — from free pasta in the kitchen to social activities that make connecting with people easy. The value for money is fantastic considering the location and amenities. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this is the ideal place to stay in Milan. I can honestly say it was a 10/10 experience, and I would definitely come back!
