Good place. Friendly staff. Clean rooms would stay there again

My ratings need to be put in context: hotel was still in the "reopening process" after Covid lockdowns within Australia and overseas travellers were still not allowed into Australia. One presumes that management was still trying to get the staffing needs right and its pricing right. My room was clean upon arrival, but, in the 5 nights that I spent there, housekeeping only came once, and that was only after I had reminded them. Even then, they did not change the bedding. The room, and bathroom, was on the small side, considering its star rating. TV was limited to "Free-to-air" stations. Reception closes at 8pm and because my flight landed after 8pm, I had to pick up my keys at another hotel first. Prices through 3rd party online-agents were cheaper than calling the hotel directly. The hotel itself would not lower their price to match the online prices, which I found surprising. There was a huge differential between the highest and the lowest price within that week, depending on the day of the week (we are talking about differences in the hundreds for one night for the same room!). I loved the old sandstone building and its quite location, but when the weather was bad, it was problematic just to get to the closest restaurant. Given the relative prices, I moved out earlier than planned so that I was more central to the CBD,

The bed was a bit dirty, it was obvious that it was dirty and there were hair...I was stupid when I opened the quilt when I arrived at the hotel. A big pile of hair was obviously a bit dark. I thought it was bad luck, but every time I cleaned it. Still the same... Other aspects are great

We were staying overnight in Adelaide to collect our overseas returning daughter from airport. We weren't sure if she would be up to dining out or just want to sleep. It's a straight drive from hotel to airport and plenty of dining options nearby. Rooms clean and comfortable bed. Free parking from 6pm to 8 am and there seems to be plenty of free spaces. Staff friendly and check in seamless.

I liked it, it wasn't perfect but it was good, sadly we didn't get the free bottle of wine with the room as promised when booking, and I can't say if we got a room upgrade, but the room was good, aside from the view, which was nothing more than a grey brick wall. The room was immaculately clean, the bathroom well-presented and clean, and the bed was supremely comfortable, I wanted to take that mattress home with me, LOL. The only pressing issue for us was the air conditioning, no matter what I could not change the temperature, made worse by the fact that there didn't appear to be any windows you could open, so the room was stuffy. Sadly, we were out all day so by the time we got back there was no one to ask, reception runs from 0800 to 2000 hours. We didn't use the Wifi, so I am unsure how good that was. For once we had a room with good coffee, which seems to be such a rare thing these days. I would stay again, in fact, we will probably rebook for the same event next year, but I will ensure we get a room that has windows that can be opened. Staff on reception were friendly and very helpful, the check in process was seamless.

The hotel is in a beautiful old building and staff are very helpful. The pipes are a bit noisy in the night.

New age comforts within the secluded old world charm of this very convenient, quiet and clean establishment. Highly recommended this property to all. The weekend receptionist was delightfully polite, chatty and eager to help.
