A wonderful experience on an amazing and spacious piece of land that feels like you are away from anything else. The spa cottage was luxurious and cosy. It was very clean and the layout was very well thoughtful. The addition of a coffee pod machine was a welcome bonus. We had regular visits from the local wildlife. The property is outstanding and good value. We were given great directions from the host. Well done Liz.

This is just a stunning place to stay with beautiful views out of every window! So many additional items included, making it very practical as well. It has such a romantic and cosy vibe and was a perfect stop for our honeymoon. It was amazing to see all of the wildlife and it feels truly peaceful. Definitely will be coming back

We stayed in the spa cottage - it is a charming stone cottage and is even better than the photos. Idyllic setting that's a short walk from the beach, with plenty of wildlife visiting throughout the day. Well-equipped and comfortable inside. We got supplies from Hobart for our three-night-stay here - but the General Store nearby is very handy with a good range of fresh and reasonably priced meat products. Adventure Bay is a good base for us to do day walks and visit different attractions on the island.

For a 'studio' this is a very spacious cottage - large kitchen, dining and lounge; large bedroom and an enormous bathroom - with a deep copper bath with lovely views to Adventure Bay. Warm despite the 5 degree day time temperatures, with log fire and heat pump, and a very warm comfortable bed. Self catering kitchen was fine too. privacy, views to the bay, and comfort - perfect.

Beautiful little cottage, cosy and comfortable in a quiet location in the heart of Adventure Bay overlooking fields and bush. Lots of birds and wallabies (including famous white wallabies). Fully self-contained. Would love to stay again.

What a fantastic space! We stayed in the studio which had everything we needed & really comfortable. The setting was amazing with a wonderful array of wildlife. It was a really convenient place to stay on Bruny Island, being close to a beautiful beach, the cruises, supplies and was very central.

We stayed at Adventure Bay Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, you have a washing machine for convenience, and I think that my favourite thing was the wallabies, I counted about 16 one day, most of them had a baby in the pouch. We also saw an echidna not far from the back of the cabin, nosing around the bush. The process was simple and easy to come and go as we pleased. My husband caught some squid from the jetty up the road, they were delicious. The company that does the cruise around the island is well worth the money, it was fantastic and the staff on the boat very experienced boatmen. If you want peace and nature then this is your place, we loved it and the little local shop is very handy, we bought the lamb chops, and they were very tender and delicious. The oyster shack is well worth the visit, yum.

The cottage is absolutely idyllic! It's cosy and comfortable and beautifully appointed, with stunning views from every window and wildlife right on your doorstep - wallabies and their joeys, birdlife galore. It was wonderful and we could have stayed forever. The location is fabulous, close to the beach and the local shop and cafes, but tucked away from the main road (not that it's busy). All we could hear was the breeze in the trees and the waves crashing onto the nearby shore. Bruny Island is astonishing and the retreat was the perfect place to stay and unwind and just watch the magic of nature. Words don't do it - or the island - justice. It's a remarkable part of the world. We are already planning a return trip and will stay much longer next time, because it was honestly hard to leave. We loved every second.

Adventure Bay Retreat is the perfect place to relax and explore Bruny Island. We stayed in the very well appointed Lodge which was great for 2 couples could accommodate 3 & 4 if you are happy to share (bunks) Everything you would want while sitting in front of the wood fire (we needed it in February- be prepared).
