Civitel Creta Beach

I had a really lovely stay at Civitel Creta Beach! Beautiful pool and extremely comfy bed. Warm and friendly staff. Delicious food - perhaps the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had. Fresh, healthy, tasty and an incredible selection. Easy bus into Heraklion.

Loved our stay there! We loved everything about our stay there. Thanks to all staff, from receptionist who arranged taxi for us from the airport, to management who let us keep the room after checkout so our baby could have her afternoon sleep. All waiting staff is polite and friedly, cleaning staff spot on, management amazing. They really put the word in "hospitality", cheerful, warm and welcoming they go above and beyond to provide a great stay Food was delicious, themed dinner 3 times/week and a la carte restaurant. It was my husband's birthday whilst on holiday & he received a nice platter with local sweets and drink, nice gesture. Rooms were clean and spacious, easy to accomodate a 17 months old. If you book on their website you can get perks like free taxi from the airport & discounted rates, depending om the length of your stay. Swimming pool area was good, very well kept beach with clear water. Nothing really I can fault, I would go back tomorrow. To all the staff cheering our baby girl whilst I was grabbing food at the buffet and just meeting our demands.. Thank you!

This was one of the best hotels I’ve been to. It already started with a request I had previous our visit. I communicated per email and I always received a swift and polite reply. In the end it turned out they actually respected this request - which shows respect for their customers - for which I am very grateful. The hotel is not a large generic hotel, but rather small scale, which is far more relaxing, without waterslides or other grotesk stuff. And the fact that you are in a (beautiful and spacious) bungalow with space around you is so much more peaceful. There are also rooms beneath the front building, but we preferred a bungalow. The hotel garden has a lot of beautiful palm trees and flowers. And the front side bungalows have lovely ocean views. The staff is so friendly and helpful, you feel respected. Food is very good with a lot of choice. And staff is constantly running around to clear tables so you don ‘t have to wait. If you have all inclusive you can eat once in your stay at the à la carte restaurant which is very nicely decorated, with excellent food and very well presented. The main dining area is rather canteen style. It would need some decoration, also on the tables, and table cloths in the evening, then it would look so much better. But if you have a seat near the window you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea and the mountains. Dress code for men at dinner time are long trousers, but unfortunately this is not always respected (very disrespectful towards other guests). This should be put straight please ! ! At the poolbar there is always nice food available, so you will never be hungry. Outside the hotel there are a lot of shops, and bus #1 stops right across the street to Heraklion (back with #6). I would recommend this hotel, and would stay there again since it felt like coming home in a dream….

Easy to get to from the airport, we just hopped on the #6 city bus, and there is a bus stop right in front of the property. City busses are clean,and cheap, I think it was about 5€ or so, and takes about 35 mins. Check in was really smooth. The place is spotless, customer service is very good, they upgraded us to a small bungalow right next to the beach. We were taken by golf cart which was nice. Accommodation was clean, and new, nice bed, decent bathroom, it's a little small, but has a shower, no tub. Really nice deck area to have coffee and listen to the ocean. The room has a small fridge, a safe, decent closet space, a small couch, queen sized bed, large TV, and great wifi. Actually wifi was available everywhere on site. We opted for the breakfast package, which was actually very nice. Buffet style, but literally dozens of options. Fresh fruits, breads, cheeses, yogurts, cereals, many many hot dishes, you will not go hungry. We also had one formal sit down fancy dinner which was also very nice. We didn't really use any of the on-site facilities, but we did hang out at the pool for a few hours one day. Even though it seems like there was a lot of people there were still a lot of loungers available. Pool looked really nice, only a few people used it. Beach area also has loungers and umbrella for free use. Really nice sandy and shallow beach, great for kids, but it does get windy, so keep that in mind. Impressive amount of smokers manage to keep a steady supply of cigarette butts in the sand at all beaches we visited. Kind of gross, but this seems like a European thing? Can't say we have seen this in other places. I would easily reco.mend this place due to the fact that it was really clean, food was nice, easy to get to, lots of off site dining, gift shopping, bakeries, grocery stores, and car rental places within a 10 minute walk.

I spent incredible time in Civitel Hotel which is absolutely fantastic, nothing is missing there ... I would like to especially thanks John at the reception, and the amazing staff who had been so gentle and considerate with me .... What a surprise when they brought me a birthday cake that i was not expected .... And cherry on the cake , the upgrated me in a wonderful room ..... So don't hesitate to book at this hotel , you won't be desappointed Thanks all, and see you soon ＜3

From check-in to departure, the hospitality and service were high. Upon arrival, we immediately received a room upgrade and a voucher for a free dinner without asking. We arrived late at the location and the reception was attentive enough to inform us that - if we wanted - we could quickly use the buffet in the restaurant before the kitchen closed. Check-in was possible later. Very nice! Upon departure we received a nice bottle of Greek olive oil. Other wishes during our stay were also no problem. We even received a packed lunch one day when we visited the city. In short: super hospitable and it gave us a wonderful holiday feeling. The only downside was the leaking shower, which meant that the bathroom floor kept getting wet and we had to (unnecessarily) sacrifice a towel every time. Although reported twice, the leak was not resolved during our stay. It caused an inconvenience, but is especially inconvenient for the hotel itself if this is not repaired.

What a wonderful place. It's all about confort and relax. The staff is amazing and supported my in all my requests and needs. Beach and swimming pool access are great, and meals (specially breakfast) from the salon with an incredible view are all awesome. I would definetly go back for a 5 days stays with my family.

From the 12th to the 19th of August, I stayed at Civitel Creta Beach Hotel. This was my second visit to the same hotel as last year. And it was a lovely visit again. Actually, there you can reserve not a normal room as it is usually for a hotel. But it is possible to make a reservation for a bungalow. So, the room is quite large with free Wi-Fi. The bathroom also is quite large. Everything was kept clean at all times. Besides this, in the fridge, there were some free drinks and a bottle of Cretan wine from the house. The people at the reception are very friendly and ready to help. The food at the restaurant was very nice and with quite p plenty of choices to choose from. Then, the beach, which belongs to the hotel, is only a few meters away. Of course, by the hotel, there is also a pool and the sunbeds are free of charge. Civitel Creta Beach provides also a very nice garden with a mini-golf and tennis courts. Also, there is a Gym available close to the beach. The hotel is very close to the Cretan Internation Airport I had a really nice week there.
